Solved my siphon problem.
Have an 8' sliding board. When pump turned off water would siphon from the board through the system and empty the filter and pump pot. Check valve on the sliding board plumbing and no more air in the system.

Buyer beware. Leaks
Bought this valve for a pool heater install and it took me a few weeks to get the plumbing completed and the pool heater installed. Once I had the pool heater installed and working the check valve leaked. I tightened all the top screws and it still leaks. Looks to be be poor craftsmanship. I looked up my Amazon order and it says my return window expired, very disappointing. The quality of anything these days is dismal. I would spend a little more and buy a better product, especially when you are gluing it to a pool plumbing system.

Worked perfectly for second pump setup
Installed a second pump to run our pools water feature. Used two of these check valves to manipulate the water flow properly.
