Excellent and affordable way to fix a peeling steering wheel
My 2017 WRX had a badly peeling steering wheel that looked and felt awful. An aftermarket wheel was $500 so I decided to give this DIY wheel cover a try. I watched a few YouTube videos on how to install it and it seemed fairly straightforwards. The kit includes everything you will need - even a nifty little scissors that works well for many things after the stitching project. The cover fits snugly and the cutouts for the spokes are properly positioned. There is a little stretch to the material so one can do a little tweaking of the fit here and there. I used a good bit of the included double sided tape and made sure to tack down edges and contours. Having done it once, I’d recommend applying the tape to the steering wheel rather than the underside of the cover. Also, don’t peel off all the tape backing at once, but only sections after you have the cover already in place. That way, you don’t have to fight the cover if it sticks down in a position you don’t like.Stitching is the tedious part and it took me nearly 3 hours to install the cover for the first time. Pretty sure I could cut that time nearly in half if I had to do it again. Pull out at least 4 times the length of thread as the length to be stitched, since it will be doubled up. You are supplied with way more thread than you need so don’t be afraid to use plenty. I started with a few temporary stitches to tack down the edges at the spokes to get an idea of the fit so I could tug the cover around if needed for evenness. Once in place to my liking, I stitched everything up carefully. Try to maintain even and constant tension in the stitching process or you will end up with an uneven pattern. The edges come together neatly without need for pulling hard so just focus on making neat passes.Well, that’s all the tips I have for this job. It was rather easy, if not a bit tedious. The result is a much improved look and feel. The wheel feels thicker and more “plush”. Time will tell how well this cover weathers over the years, but as it is now, I’m very happy with it and it was a very simple and affordable fix.

Fits well.
Fits the steering wheel perfectly ['21 WRX]. It is rather cumbersome to stitch all the way around and to seat/hide all of the edges, but take your time. I said the "F" word many times if that tells you anything. I don't sew. It looks and feels nice.

Looks good, tucking slips out
Got this one because it was cheaper than the others and I just wanted to try it out. The sewing takes a while but it’s fun to do once you get a rhythm going. Nice and tight fitment. The parts that you tuck in so slide out but I didn’t expect it to be perfect. Also, taking off the steering wheel to do this makes it so much easier

WAY nicer than I thought it would be...
I expected this to be an "okay" resolve to the known peeling issue that we have on the WRX/STi steering wheels. I watched some videos, removed the steering wheel and brought it inside since I knew it was going to take awhile to do (I have pretty good stitching/sewing knowledge that my Mom taught all of us boys while my Dad was at work).Let me just say this: Even though it was a PAIN in some areas, and it took hours to complete, it was well worth it. It's extremely comfortable on the hands while driving. It feels cooler in the hot days and seems like it'll feel warmer on the cold days because of the quality of the material compared to the stock stuff. It fits amazing, didn't have any problems with it whatsoever.I will say for those of you using the instructions given in the package rather than watching videos, it's not written the best. I suggest watching a couple of videos before and while you do this.Overall, I love it.

Looks Decent, But Falls Short on Fit and Finish
The concept is solid, and it does look better than a plain stock wheel — a reasonable alternative to a full carbon fiber upgrade. However, installation took time, the stitching process was tedious, and the cover tends to shift around. It had potential to feel more premium but didn’t quite get there.

Looks good but is a pain in the arse
Only reason it gets a 5 star is because it doesn’t look terrible I had 1 rip right at the beginning of installation but got it on with a lot of swearing at it and stabbing myself constantly with the needle 😭 literally one of the most tedious tasks I have ever done idk if I’d do it again unless I was being paid to do it for someone and I’d try harder then I kinda got pissed halfway through

Feels very good
It might take you doing it once to get nice looking stitches, but even the first try ended up being pretty good. Is recommend using 3M 77 adhesive spray rather than the double stick tape, which I didn't do, but should have

Nice quality wheel cover but expect a long install
I have this 4 but it's really a great product. The only small issue for me were the instructions, but you can watch plenty of online videos. The instructions provided leave out some important info like what type of thread knots to in use. While this is not a simple job to install it's more tedious than complexIf you take your time you get a great result. Took about 3 hours.
