TWINSTAR Nano Plus for 66gal Aquarium Algae Inhibition

This product is amazing and works! Electrolysis works by breaking the bond between Hydrogen and Oxygen from water. 2 H2O ---> 2H2 and O2. The oxygen atom readily bonds to itself to create instant Oxygen from the separation of water. Electrolysis is so powerful that it can break the bonds of water!!! This instantly destroys any blue green algae or bacteria that is floating in the water column! Thus reducing harmful bacteria in our aquarium and reducing the bacteria that creates algae!This in turn promotes healthy plant growth and fish health!The Twinstar NANO works intermittently and produces a very fine mist of O2 or oxygen. This fine mist likes to linger in the water column for far longer than the older airstone and air pump technology!!! Thus the Twinstar NANO contributes to good oxygenated water throughout the water column. And potentially even into the substrate where it is needed most.By both the bacteria and roots of the plants. The roots create the cavities in the substrate while the circulation and Twinstar NANO create the O2 that lingers in the water column and circulates down into the entire tank!!!

I am a complete nutcase about cleanliness in my aquariums. I spend hours doing all three every week. I can say after about a year using these, the honestly they seem to have very little if any effect. In fact this friday's weekly water change, THE ONLY place that has any algea was this device and the glass lily pipe right above it. I did an experiment a couple months ago, and left it off. There was absolutely no change. With them running our not, a little bit of green spot algea on the glass and this device. I have a fair shake, it's crap.

Still waiting. Their videos show a badly algae affected tank that clens up over the course of a few months. When I read the instructions that came with they say to remove all the algae in the tank. Ok. Cleaned out algae. Waiting to see if it works at all. Some bottom algae is growing but slower than before.

I still get algae but the fish love the extra oxygen added to the tank. It's a very fancy and expensive airstone, but it looks badass

I have had this product on my tank for a few months now and it looks cool but I would say it is not effective at algea control or at increasing plant growth. I had very little algea to begin with and since installing this product I have seen no change. At initial installations I did remove any algea that was in place but it came back just like before . Like I said, cool gadget but not as effective as I would have hoped..

Unit stopped working in less than 3 months use. Reactor had no buildup on it to justify it stopping working. Save your money, don't buy this product. Opened reactor to investigate and found the wire connections had broke off. Obviously the unit wasn't water tight. It is supposed to be.

I would have liked some directions and info on parts. It seems to do a good job.

Durante casi un mes que lo he tenido,han seguido saliendo algas,menos pero saliendo,incluso la plataforma del twinstar se llena de ellas,aunque el acuario ya las tenia,cada tres dias tenia que limpiar los cristales de ellas,lo he devuelto porque es caro para lo que se dice que hace.Yo,no lo recomiendo.

I like it!

I first saw this in my local Aquarium centre. They were only trying it out and were not selling them. I came home and after searching on the internet I found this supplier. At first I thought they seemed a bit expensive but my wife convinced me to give it a try. I think she had got fed up with my dripping water all over the floor and carpets after I had spent ten minutes scraping off the algae from the inside of my aquarium every other day. Initially you have to clean the inside glass of the aquarium as usual by hand. After that the Steriliser takes over. Now my aquarium glass is spotless and I have not touched it for over a month.

Das Gerät war bei mir im Einsatz in einem 240 Liter Süsswasser Aquarium.Dieser Twinstar 2 Nano+ hat leider genau 1 Woche lang bestimmungsgemäss funktioniert & dann den Geist aufgegeben.Das Steuergerät selbst scheint noch zu funktionieren - jedenfalls funktionieren Schalter und LED's dort noch wie beschrieben.Die Elektrolyse-Komponente im Becken hingegen funktioniert überhaupt nicht mehr.Meiner Vermutung nach dürfte das wahrscheinlich an elektrischer Korrossion wegen ungenügender Abdichtung liegen?Der Materialwert dürfte sich vermutlich im niedrigen 2-stelligen Bereich bewegen, damit ist das Gerät meiner Ansicht nach auch für das Gebotene ziemlich überteuert.Nach Hersteller-Angaben ist das Gerät für Beckengrößen von 50-400 Liter ausgelegt.Hinzu kommt, dass das Kabel an der Elektrolyse-Komponente mit 56 cm bereits für den Einstatz in meinem 240 Liter Becken viel zu kurz ist !Man ist durch das doch sehr kurze Kabel mit der Kabelführung und der Anbringung des Steuergeräts ziemlich eingeschränkt.Aufgrund der genannten Kritikpunkte und des Total-Ausfalls bereits schon nach 1 Woche bestimmungsgemässem Betrieb nach Bedienungsanleitung habe ich das Gerät bei Amazon reklamiert & eine Rückerstattung angefordert.
