Original review: This is being returned for a refund but I'm ordering a replacement on the off chance I was just unlucky and will update based on that, when it arrives.The mount seems solid and to function well in terms of adjusting and tightening etc., but the thread is malformed right at the end so it can't be scewed into anything, rendering it useless.Update based on second attempt: also garbage, in fact the deformity in the thread is even worse than the first.It's unusable and there's clearly no quality control.Further update: went with this alternative product in the end - same price, reviews speak for themselves, perfect quality and it works: SMALLRIG Cool Ballhead Clamp Mount with Mini Magic Arm - 1138

Item came 14/12/2021. The looks and quality is almost like a RAM mount but a bit cheaper. It uses a whitworth screw (so you can mount it on cameras etc) and it also comes with the adaptor so you can mount a GoPro on it. The screw and thread seems fine and screws on my cameras and the adaptor with no issues. The whole clamp is made out of metal/hard nylon and feels very robust. The GoPro adaptor is plastic with metal insert for the screw thread. The clamp itself is very strong and is designed to mount on tubular surfaces. It could have a little bit thicker rubber on it if you want to use it on a flat surface but I can deal with that myself. Overall very happy.

Use this to mount my action cam to the rear carrier on my mountain bike. Need to position the camera to give a ‘dog eye’ view when we are out cycling and this bracket offers a wide range of adjustments so I can set it up just right
