Used for 3/8 aluminum rod worked well

I bought this because I want to put bends into 0.074 inch steel. Not to put too fine a point on it but the machine works perfectly. It would be nice if they sold different size mandrels, but the one that came with it is perfectly good. I expect many years of service from this machine.

I wondered why my bends would skew the metal to one side until I noticed the gap between the stationary portion and the "blade". There appears to be no way to adjust it so I made a small steel filler piece to get them roughly parallel but that was more trouble to use than it was worth. Spend the money for a more accurate bender. I ended up buying a much more expensive one (still made by Kaka) that has worked out perfectly.

Use this tool to make motor mounts and brackets for my car project. Bent 3/8 inch steel and quarter inch aluminum without problems. Tool seems durable and will probably last a long time.

It didn’t work very well then I noticed that the top strap was in a bind and wouldn’t work properly. Then I compared it to the picture on the box. That top strap is on upside down. Remove the pin, install the top strap properly and it works great.

The bends are not square or even. Putting marks and setting the gauge. It's okay for rough fabrication but not finish work.
