Works as expected
I have several Anker products and this one is not different - works as expected and good value. It has and adaptor for USB C so can be used with slim laptops without full sized USB. It's also faster on USB C (full NVMe speed depending on the drive insode) but the speed is not so bad over USB 3.0, around 1000MB/s. The case is very compact, easy to assemble, I'm actually thinking about buying another one!

Does the job, reasonable price, trusted brand
Various factors will affect your transfer speeds however based on my hardware, I believe this will be hitting the limits of this device in terms of transfer rates.3900x | 32gb RAM | RTX2080 Super - benchmark submitted was actually via my blazing fast (and pointless as nothing ever actually supported it for it's intended use) Virtual Link port. - Main USB C 3.2 ports connected to my mobo provided results similar, but slightly lower. Either way, for an external drive, more than fast enough. The NVME drive I used was a PCIE gen 4 drive btw.

Worth paying a bit more for the anker brand
Very easy to install the ssd, plugged in and worked straight away. USB A to C adapter very handy as I have an old device without USB C ports. Considered buying the cheaper brands but honestly not worth the risk of destroying an SSD and losing all your data. Some reviews mentioned it ran hot, clearly don’t have any understanding of basic electronics: all components have some electrical resistance meaning they heat up when used. The ssd in your pc is constantly cooled by a fan and a thermal sink which pump the hot air out the vents away from you, if you chuck an ssd in any simple enclosure then the only way for heat to escape is through the casing. This is the same for all ssd enclosures without active cooling. Just don’t run it at full capacity for hours on end and you’ll be fine.

nice unit
it well made alloy. easy to fit mem cards. and comes with pouch. and usb to usb c cables.I have purchased 2 because i like Anker products and they have not usually let me down.my only critic is that the supplied usb A to usbA and usb C adapter, does not always workwhen i use the usb A to usb C adaptor. Also at the price it is a little expensiver for what it is . Apart from this its a great unit.

Works for purpose
I used this for transfer when upgrading to larger SSD used with Samsung transfer application. Like that it's USB c or a. I have only used it for transferring data for upgrade.Likely will put a drive in and use it instead of traditional spinning external hard drive.Case seems solid as you would expect from Anker. Anker always seems to be pretty durable.

Combines coolness with functionality.
I had already tried a couple of no-name USB3 SSD caddies and had to return them because they gave nothing but USB errors. One suspects the manufacturers can't be bothered to implement the whole of the USB command set - they just do enough to work with a Windows desktop and don't bother with the rest.Having been bitten I decided to spend just a little more and get the Anker ones. What a difference! Anker kit is always so smooth and cool anyway, but these are a delight. A beautiful design and installing the drive was easy. In use it Just Works(TM). Highly recommended.

Got it to clone a drive
I was in the process of upgrading the SSD on my XPS laptop and wanted to clone the existing drive onto a new one. This USB adapter worked like a charm, put the new disk in the adapter, booted, cloned from laptop to usb, then moved the disk from the usb into the laptop. No drama, whole process was done in an hour.

Not happy with it.
This enclosure doesn't seem to have any type of cooling that I can see. I put my 1TB WD SSD in it and the case got uncomfortably hot to the touch, the Sabrent eclosure that I bought ealier last year does not do this with the same drive. I'll try it again with my Intel SSD, will return if it still does it.
