The 1metre Abacus four gang (each switched) extension lead with surge-protected is well made and has good contacts and good switches.It is a welcome improvement over some generic anonymous on-line offerings I’ve tried recently and immediately binned because they were potentially lethal.The first picture shows the insides. It has a decent thickness of buss conductors with contacts that grip plug-pins properly and will last, and substantial switches securely fastened. The surge protection is in the shrink-wrapped bundle living near the right end of the Neutral buss-bar.The cover is secured by tamper-resistant screws; however, with the correct tools access is possible to enable a safety check.The 13A plug is moulded in the correct shape with safe pins and contained the correct fuse.Second picture shows it secured to the wall for a low-power bedroom distribution to two TV amplifiers and two cupboard-light 12V DC supplies, each with its own on/off switch.

So many 5* reviews! Are Amazon customers so easily satisfied?This is an averagely priced product, presented in a shabby condition, with minimal information and missing kitemarks. It may work just fine (I haven’t tried it) but I am not comfortable trusting my household safety to such a product (now returned).

Berkin do a much higher quality item for same price with a higher product assurance only no holes for wall mount.. Bought this in a hurry and it didn't even come next day anyway! Weren't even dispatched till night time is day meant to be delivered.. This identical item with another brand stamped on is £5 less...

Does the job and keeps plugs tidy behind television

I had two extensions in the same bit as there is a shortage of sockets in the flat I live in. this is a much better idea and I can switch off an individual socket if I am not using something

Works well, and I like the configuration of the plugs. Nice long cable to, making access under our video/dvd/games console cupboard really easy if we need to unplug and remove or add anything.

The product is fine, but the delivery very bad, left at the wrong address, unforgivable when it is so easy to distinguish the number 40 from the number 41.

disappointed only 2 sockets out of the 6 worked, total wast of money, can't be bothered sending it back will just take the loss.
