Tiny Tool BIG Impact
I ordered this cordless dremel tool because I was sick and tired of using emory boards to file down TINY resin spots on charms I make for my apple watch. If you've ever worked with UV resin, you know it is NEVER a perfect pour. There is always a half a mm edge that hardened that needs to be filed down, or inside the charm (where the band passes through). Ugh. I have ruined so many charms because they are just not strong enough to handle the force of the file and the counter pressure. This little dremel is such a game changer. It's not terribly loud. I have never had a problem with power consumption, but I also have the advantage of having USB power ports on my work station. The variety of bits that comes with this little dremel is wonderful. I don't get fatigue in my hands from the vibration or the weight and buttons. The design of this dremel is easy to operate, having never once read directions. It's very intuitive. I like that the bits came with a hardcase and the entire setup fits neatly into a little zippered pouch. The price just couldn't be beat for the quality. If you have small projects, this is the right tool.

Works alright, good for light projects
Edit May, 2025: I've used this for a while now and I wanted to come back and share my thoughts. I think whether or not this tool will be good for you depends entirely on what kind of work you're doing with it. I used the included saw blade the other day to make a few cuts in plastic and it worked great. No smoking, no heat, just a nice clean cut. I got a chance to use the sanding drums and they worked reasonable well too.The main thing is, if you are going to use it periodically, for 10-20 minutes of fine detail work on plastic, wood or soft metal you're going to love it. The variable speed control is really nice, it's mostly quiet and the battery lasts long enough for that.If you're going to use it on harder metals, for significant material removal or continuously for longer than 20 minutes or so between charges, I think this will be the wrong tool.------------Mostly it seems to work ok. You can tell it's a cheap tool but even so it it easy to use and convenient. I'm using it for very light duty, delicate work and for that it's just about perfect. The battery isn't super great, didn't get anywhere near the advertised 200 minutes of use. And that's with only using it on the second speed setting. After about 20 minutes, while it was still working, I could feel that it was starting to slow down a bit. By around 40 minutes I stopped to charge. If you use it on slow speed you can extend the use time by turning it up a few speeds as it wears down and it will still going the speed it had been when you started on the slowest. The included bits it comes with are basically for show, you should plan on bringing your own if you use it very much at all. The grinding stones chipped and wore unevenly and the "diamond/carbide" abrasive bits never really cut anything and wore down to smooth metal within minutes. The sanding drums might work? I haven't tried them.Anyway, all that to say, it does work and it is convenient. Just don't plan on hogging out material with it or using it for the hours at a time that it advertises. For light jobs every now and then I think it's going to do the trick.
