Apalus Hair Straightening Brush, Ceramic Hair Straightener, Straight Hair Styling

I have used this product twice. I have 4c textured natural hair. Have never used a hair straightener. Used it at 370 degrees F. Straightened relatively medium-sized sections of my hair in 2 passes. Took me 20 minutes to finish my head. Passes through so easily afterwards that I passed it through all my hair as I would with a regular hairbrush. This is not recommended by the manufacturer btw, but I wanted to try it anyways. Hair still has bounce afterwards and my ends are not stringy. Look at this temp was between a blowout and flat hair straightener finish. Heats up quickly (takes 5 minutes to fully get to temp). You can feel the heat emanate from the brush as it heats to temp, but the black spokes do not get hot (only the ceramic portions). Comes with 2 alligator clips that have amazing hold! Did not need the glove provided to hold the product. My only complaint is that the brush is hard to clean thoroughly when product in my hair materialized on the brush. I had to use my pressurized keyboard cleaner to clean the crevices for my next use. If the product came with a soft bristle brush with bristles long enough to reach the bottom of the brush, I would be completely satisfied with my product and give it 5 stars. Would definitely recommend for straightening natural black hair.

I love this straightening brush. Don't compare it to a standard straightener. This is different. It does straighten hair and smooth beautifully. My thick, partially gray hair ends up smooth, straight, and flowing nicely rather than stick straight. Most importantly for me, it takes less than 5 minutes and lasts for days with minor, momentary touch-ups. I gave only 4 stars only because it does not straighten quite as quickly and effectively as the Simply Straight brush which I had before this one. However, the Simply Straight brush stopped powering up within days and I was unhappy to learn, has a very short warranty which was expired by about a day when I called them. I refuse to give more money to a company whose product breaks in 2 months only to find out that, apparently, this is only how long they could guarantee it would work since their warranty is so inadequately short. I'm happy to brush my hair 60 seconds longer and deal with a company that at least offers a standard 1 year warranty. Also, this company has solved the annoying issue of the powered button (located right under where a brush is held) going on and off during use by locking it on and at your chosen temperature until either you hold it down to turn it off or it turns off automatically.

The Apalus Hair Straightening Brush, is a very interesting straightener. It only takes about 3 minutes to heat up, and another 4 minutes to straighten my hair(if that). I did not have the previous version, but I am thankful for the addition of locking controls, as I've hit the buttons with my fingers numerous times while running the brush through my hair.You definitely want to brush your hair BEFORE using the product, as I sleepily tried running this through my hair one morning, and ended up in tremendous pain as I almost yanked a whole chunk of hair out, and ruined my brush. Definitely noted as soon as that happened.The reason I am giving this 4 stars is due to the frizz factor. I have wavy hair that has a LOT of frizz-which is less noticeable when it's natural. When straightened it looks horrendous. I hate that I now need a frizz serum now. A normal ceramic straightener gets rid of frizz.Edit** be careful around your ears/pull the hair away from your face, because I burnt the top of my ear with the brush! It didn't really hurt too much, but later in the day I did notice a blister had formed. It was gone the next day so it's no big deal. I STILL RECOMMEND THIS BRUSH THOUGH!I definitely recommend this product, however!!

So, before you buy this just know that it doesn't magically give you straight hair! If you have curly ringlets, this isn't going to make your hair pin straight. However, in my experience it works just as well as a straightener does. I have medium to thick hair that reaches down to nipple length, and this brush works great!I like it better than my straightener for two main reasons:1. It is super easy to use. Obviously, you aren't squeezing your hair between two plates, so its less effort on your part.2. Temperature control. You control what temperature setting you want which I think is super convenient.If you're going to buy an Apalus striaghtening brush, I would recommend this one over the "original' brush. I believe this one costs about $10 more than the original, but in my opinion it is completely worth it. This one has a locking feature so you don't accidentally change temperature or turn off the brush while you're using it. It also does NOT have the rubber tips that the original one has, so it pulls out virtually no hair.One thing to keep in mind when using it (especially if you have thick hair) is that it works much better if you portion your hair into sections. I usually section my hair into bottom, middle, and top layers. This ensures that every section of your hair is straight and gives you a better result.Also, I see that some people when reviewing products get discounts or whatnot... As cool as that would be, I'm just a normal person who really loves their new straightening brush. Sadly, I paid full price for mine.

It's actually a lot better brush than I originally thought it would be. Seems to be made well and doesn't look or feel cheap at all. It is very simple to use with only an on/off button and plus or minus button on the side for changing the temperature. It is nice that it comes with some hair clips, a heat resistant glove, and a carrying case as well. I have thin hair that is considered to already be straight but I just wanted something to get the creases out from after I sleep. This does that very well. The only thing that is difficult is styling the ends of the hair. With a flat iron it is easy to style the ends of your hair but this product makes it more difficult. But it is easier to straighten the roots with this compared to a flat iron. Overall am happy with this product!

Primero el envío es rapidísimo, lo compré un viernes y llegó el lunes siguiente.Mi cabello es abundante, ondulado y bastante necio y lo alació bastante rápido, además de que la apariencia es mucho más natural que cuando te lo alacias con una plancha.Definitivamente vale la pena el precio porque además trae dos pinzas para recoger el cabello, una bolsa para guardarlo y un guante.Un buen tip es usar la temperatura recomendada, que viene en las instrucciones, para cada tipo de cabello.

Fue el mejor regalo de navidad para mi esposa, en un principio le costaba trabajo manejarlo pero una vez aprendiendo a utilizarlo ha quedado fascinada porque dice que se ahorra más tiempo que con cualquier plancha convencional y le deja su cabello muy bien, solo hay que tener cuidado porque si calienta mucho y en lo que aprendía a usarlo se dió sus quemadas.

Fue un regalo para mi mamá que tiene el cabello chino y le ha fu clonado bastante bien. No lo deja escurridor como una plancha lo haría pero si le quita los chinos y el frízz en 15 mins (y eso que tiene mucho cabello). Yo que tengo menos y soy de cabello quebrado, solo necesito 10mins para dejarlo nació y con forma en las puntas. Es ideal para un peinado rápido y un Look casual, me ha gustado tanto que hasta estoy pensando en comprarme la propia

i have natural curly long hair so when i saw videos online for girls with the same hair type brushing out straight hair, i was sold. I defiantly didn't get their results but it really cut down my blow out time from 1hr to 15mins. I did have to blow dry my hair dry, then used this to smooth out the hair before using my straightener or wand to style my hair. all in all its very durable and well made and it does work, but it doesn't work by itself.
