UNI-TUTi260B Thermal Camera Imager 49152Pixels 256x192 IR Resolution Handheld Infrared Camera Thermal Imaging IP65 2 Meter Drop Rechargeable

I've just received the unit and after about three hours of exploring all options I find it works better than expected, is quite the bargain and of quite good quality. I'll be using this unit in construction applications.There are just a few quirks:- The manual says you can use up to a 2.0 A charger but the listing here states and even warns not to use any chargers with more output than 1.0 A.Update: You must use a 1A charger! UNI-T sent a personal message to make sure of that.- The trigger does not always save the image on the first pull but after the second pull it will work every time.- It takes a while for it to fully shut down and start up. Leave it sitting for a minute before turning it back on or plug in the charger so you can see the progress bar on the charge.- The software for the PC works well but is not very polishedPros:- The thermal resolution of 256x192 is accurate. To check, in Photoshop I've resized an image I took with my phone to that resolution and then compared it to the same image taken by the thermal imager. They perfectly match in edge detail so the resolution seems to be accurate. A previous reviewer stated it has only about 25% of that resolution but I don't find that to be the case.- 25hz frame rate and good responsiveness. This is quite high compared to the 9hz other brands that cost 4 to 6 times have or compared to its direct competition from China which are similar in price.- Very rugged, well built and ip65 rated- Very good battery life- Good screen - has a protective film on it that can be removed.- Many practical features, no gimmicks- Easy to use menu and ergonomic designOverall I don't see why the competition costs around 4 to 6 times! as much with the very same feature set and next to identical technical specs.I'll report back after after I have a few hours of use on it.Update: So far so good! I've already located several air duct leaks in a cramped crawl space. The unit is plenty sensitive to spot even small temperature changes. This makes is a great tool for detecting moisture also. Couldn't be happier! 5 Stars!

Have nothing to compare this to other than cheap laser temperature, but it seems solid from the items I have scanned so far. The SD Card reader is fussy about what it will write to, but that isn't out of the ordinary for devices that use SD cards.

Si bien la calidad de la imagen no es la mejor es muy práctica.Los temas a mejorar es la aplicación que a veces se bloquea y es un poco molesta. Y tal vez la alineación de las imágenes térmicas con las físicas. Y como no la posibilidad de que la aplicación te deje descargar las imágenes. Para poder sacarlas tengo que tomar una captura de pantalla de cada imagen y ahí pienso pierde mas calidad la imagen

The reason I chose this thermal camera over the SEEK thermal camera was because I heard about the privacy nightmare with the SEEK app. The UNI-T app only requests for camera access and for file storage if you want to save pictures. It doesn't ask for location or anything else and it works offline. They have the apk file on their website, so just download it and save it and then you will always be able to use this camera even on some old Android phone with no internet access or no app store access. If UNI-T goes out of business, no problem because you'll have the apk file saved and it doesn't need to contact any servers or anything. This simple approach is so much better than all the data collection crap you see from other companies. Thank you UNI-T.As for the camera, it does the job as expected. I've already discovered some things about my home with it. Very useful tool.One issue is when you first load the app, it is in Chinese. Hit the first menu item in the settings and that will let you switch back to English, and then it will stay that way. Also I found the saved pictures to be cropped for some reason, so I just screenshot or screen record instead if I want to save something. That won't reduce the quality because the resolution of the sensor is so low anyways, as it is with all thermal cameras in this price range.Overall it is an excellent value for the money. It works well, and the app apk is available to save offline and it doesn't ask for ridiculous things like your location data to be able to use the camera -- shame on you SEEK! The UNI-T camera is a better choice all round.

I purchased this in 2023 and used this a few times. With the cold weather I wanted to go around the house and check the house for cold spots or hot spots from the outside...tried to turn it on and nothing, charged it and again tried to turn it on and nothing....it's dead as a doornail. There is no way to open it to see what's going on. At this point it's a very expensive paperweight...

May be star struck by this being my first thermal imaging camera. But, this thing is amazing and has made electronics testing sooo much easier. Great image and screen quality and is easy to use. The size is not too big or small. I like the tripod mount in the handle as well. The only thing i don't care for is it doesnt seem there is an obvious way to change the battery on the unit in the future. I don't really care for when companies do this as they are trying to give it an end of life so you cam buy another one when the battery eventually wears out. This will be many years for the 5000mah ion battery they gave installed and not a super big deal as the units thermal sensor will likely be worn and out of calibration by then anyways
