Q: Would these work with acrylic paint, with control over the flow without dripping?

Yes absolutely! =) That's exactly what I purchased these for. The necks of these bottles are quite small, so I mixed up my paint in a 4oz squeeze bottle to fill these little guys. There's also a funnel you can buy, but I don't have that kind of patience =) These bottles have a 'needle' tip on them and are perfect for fluid acrylic fine lines, dots and calligraphy.

Q: Is the plastic soft so you don't have to squeeze really hard? I don't want to cramp up my hand trying to squeeze paint out of it as I create my art.

Very soft - I am sure you will be pleased. I am squeezing glue with ease. I expected each bottle not to last long because they are so soft, but after several months I am still on my first bottle. This set of ten will likely last me the rest of my life!! The caps fit snugly so I am sure will keep your paint fresh. Good luck.

Q: What gauge size is the needle?

It's not actually a needle, but it might be similar to a 16 gauge needle opening. Not exactly sure though.

Q: Can this applicator be used with E6000 glue ?

I am familiar with E6000 glue and can say for certain these squeeze bottles wouldn't work well. These bottles work best with a fluid glue, not a thick glue in a tube like E6000.
