Dunlop Jim DBSBN30130 Super Bright Bass Strings, Nickel Wound, Medium.030-.130, 6 Strings/Set

I have a tricky 35" BTB Ibanez that is hard to find strings for. With the extended scale length most standard length strings do not fit. Happy to report these worked great. The taper of the string was perfect just beyond nut and they have snappy brightness I was looking for in recording. I also appreciate that I didn't refinance the house to shoe my 6 string bass.

These strings are very bright but round sounding with good depth.

Great sounding strings. A little stiffer than I like but much better E and B strings then daddario xl gives me. But never even heard the A string since it’s faulty and broke when it wasn’t even up to G yet, and I’m using my old Daddario A again as a result.Immediately used the support call me back system but they never called me back. Trying again now a few days later, but I’m never buying This brand again if there’s no support.I’m a professional bassist and have been playing for 38 years… so it’s not user error. I hate that daddario XL often has a dead B or E string right out of the box, but at least they send out replacements right away and are very responsive.

I have used d'addario xls for years and just recently got a bass strung with these Dunlop nickel super bright. I really liked them so I bought some for other basses i have. Cant say enough good. Very bright but not harsh and has a lower tension than the XLs which feels great.still has great low end. Also has a comparable length to the XLs so no problems with the low strings getting wound up onto the tuning pegs past the taper.
