High quality GFCI, easy to install, works well in outdoor 2-gang socket
I had an outdoor 120v receptacle I needed to change to a 2-gang weatherproof receptacle to add additional LED lighting. I picked up a GFCI at the local home improvement store, and after wiring it in found a ground issue during circuit testing. So back to exchange it, and of course they had no more of the same devices in stock. So got this Leviton GFCI in its slim configuration. It is sturdily built, was very easy to install, fit perfectly, tested perfectly, and continues to provide circuit power and protection for the receptacles and their attached circuits. Solid device.

Change to previous review.
Not sure how to change a previous review but Amazon sent me a replacement for one that appeared defective. Problem was the instructions were not clear to me. I wired the outlet incorrectly at first because I couldn't tell which wires were hot and which went to the next outlet and it did not work so I rewired by reversing the wires but it still didn't work so I thought it defective. In the instructions which is easy to miss it says the outlet is set at the factory as "tripped". So then I knew you must press the reset button to untrip it or it won't work. Also, once you remove the tape on the load side it is easy to forget which was which but I saw online that the back of the outlet shows where line in wires (power feed) go and where load lines go (to send power to another outlet) but the instructions never mention this. Another problem was the outlet was a 20amp but the instructions showed a 15 amp (no L plug hole) so I couldn't compare it to the old bad outlet. I decided to keep the replacement as a spare and will pay for it when the return date passes. I've created this new review.

Weather Resitant outlet that isn't tamperproof.
I was needing a GFI outlet for my porch and even though it is not necessary I wanted to get a weather resistant rated outlet but everything I found at the box stores for 20A was tamper proof which I hate. This 20 amp outlet was shallow and easy to install in the box due to the extra space available with the smaller depth. I have no issues with it inside an in-use box since I've had it no matter how hard it rains.

not an electrician, but installed this myself with no issue
has a green light that lets you know it's good and on, very easy to install (be sure you know what you are doing before attempting, is very dangerous if you accidently let wires touch, be safe) had to return 2 other outlets that had horrible grounding setup that the screws didn't even tighten on.....this one is much better, insert in hole and tighten. works perfectly. will be buying more for a few more outlets i need to replace...on my to do list :)

Replaced a cheaper brand which didn't do the job
This receptable was purchase for a swimming pool pump with a max 13 amp draw. I had originally purchased and installed an ANKO GFCI Outlet 20 Amp, UL Listed, Tamper-Resistant, Weather Resistant Receptacle as it was less money. The pump runs fine on a regular 20 amp breaker with 12/2 wire when I tested it with a normal receptable (actually it ran fine on a 15 amp circuit on an extension cord as well), but as soon as I installed the ANKO GFCI, it would kick off as the pump was going through it's soft start. It wasn't even up to speed yet. Disappointing. I tried 2 different ANKO GFCI with the same results.I purchased this Leviton 20 amp GFWR2-E Self-Test, Weather Resistant, GFCI Receptacle and it works with no problems. Not much more money, but a huge difference in end results.
