All the other iron supplements I have tried causes stomach upset, gas and terrible constipation that most laxatives could not help. This one is completely different, there are no side effects as far as I can tell. I've been taking it for three years because my small intestine doesn't absorb iron normally, and it has kept my iron within the normal range while other people with my condition who don't take Proferrin have required iron infusions.I just wish it wasn't so expensive. Vitalady sells it the cheapest I've found. Even with shipping.
