Q: How is the built in interface? Is it worth buying a separate one if this is the only instrument I'm using?

Since it’s a synth module, I would get the K24 keyboard attachment.

Q: is the arpeggiator midi sync accurate?

It will sync to whatever hardware or software is sending the midi tempo. If it’s the master unit everything else will sync to it.

Q: How does the mix in jack work? does the input go through the filter, amplifier, chorus etc or just straight out the output jacks or usb interface?

Yes- You can plug any sound source into any Boutique "Mix In" and utilize filters, cutoff, LFO, etc

Q: I just bought one. does include batteries and a usb cable? i own a ddj 800 will i be able to connect it to it using mini trs stereo cables? thank you.

No it does not come with batteries. It does include a usb cable and yeah you can connect with trs cable
