Works on some hats
Had two wax canvas ball caps that needed to be rewaxed. One cap took the wax no problem but the other one, the wax would no absorb. I did use a hair dryer to speed things up and that was very helpful.

Versatile
I bought the wax to waterproof the needle penetrations of the fabric covering of the kayak I am building. But I found another use too, when sewing by hand the threads would tangle, so I just threaded the needle, ran the threads through the cake of wax, used my fingers to seal the thread together. No more tangles.

Weatherproofing my entire life now
I originally ordered this product to weatherproof some boat shoes I had purchased, which has worked perfectly. I followed the instructions on the box, and the whole process took about 30 mins for the pair of shoes. I can now see the water running off them, and my feet stay nice and dry inside. I'm now determined to weatherproof every fabric I own.

Fabric waterproofing
I like the product and I think it's pretty good but it's hard to apply it I think the best way for me would be to apply it and then use a piece or two of parchment paper with a clothing iron on a low setting just enough to melt the waterproof for into the fabric
