If you have used Haynes manuals before this one is cut from the same cloth. It is written by a Brit, so you have to translate sometimes. A general critcism of Haynes manuals in general and this one in particular: They are long on words and short on pictures and diagrams. Drawings are generally better than photographs but do not expect many drawings. Expect mostly verbage. Also, you may find that some steps called for are not required.The best thing I can say is that it is better than no manual. The more you know about general automechanics the more you can do with this manual. Because of the dependance on language over pictures the better your vocabulary of English car parts the better.

Received my repair manual in good condition and at a very good price, much cheaper than local Auto Parts stores. Shipping was fast too. I have used Hayes repair manuals for a lot of years, they are very detailed and give plenty of information for any do it yourself repairs.

I bought this manual to find where the horn is located and it I needed pictures. It was no help at all. I tried it to repair the steering link and it was no help at all. I found the information I needed for how to replace the linkage free on the internet.

The Haynes book are okay but they really don't give the detail that I would like when I am trying to figure out a problem on a vehicle. I don't see them as a replacement for a factory manual.

At first when I purchased the Aerostar I thought I would never find a manual that old...surprising I did find it on Amazon and the techniques and diagrams were very helpful for me (a Do-It-Yourselfer).

I personally like the Chilton's manuals better. I only bought this one because it was cheap and it may cover stuff the Chilton's doesn't.

It was just what we needed.

Real good deal, the book was in almost new condition other than the pages yellowed a bit from age !

Received book day before the last day it was supposed to come, but on time nonetheless. Smaller than I thought it would be but still good and good price.
