So quiet!!!
I am honestly amazed. I’ve had aquariums for the past 30 years, and I’ve never had an air pump run so quiet. Hopefully it stays this way!

Exactly as adertised!
Super quiet! The bubbles it generates are 10 times louder than the air compressor itself. Had it for a few months now and is going strong running 24/7.

Didn't last 3 months - Updated
Updated: While my originally purchased first unit blew my mind at how quiet and effective it was (it moves a LOT of air), it died a horrible death in less than 3 months. I wrote a scathing review and gave it one star. Let's just say it was so "broken" in that short amount of time that I didn't bother doing anything with it but write a bad review, throw it away, and replaced it with something else. It's important to note here; I have a 75 gallon tank and the air pump/bubbler drives the dual port (rise pipe) under gravel filter system. Not only does this provide the fish with more air, but it also moves more water through the system in a way conventional filters don't. This creates and maintains a more healthy natural biology in the tank. The more air/water it moves, the better it is for the overall health of the tank. The "something else" pump I replaced my defective unity with moves FAR less than HALF of the air the Hygger unit did. It was passable, but I was even more disappointed than where I first started.Fast forward a few days. The seller reached out to me and through a short process of back and forth, spanning a couple of days, sent me a new unit. Understand, I didn't even have the original to send back to them, it went out with the weekly garbage. Not only did they replace the unit, they asked a few questions about how it might have happened, and even provided guidance so I shouldn't run into the same problem again. Now THAT is customer service at its best! Hygger's willingness to take care of a bad situation in such a way changed this from a VERY bad one start review, to 5 stars and a VERY happy customer. Thank you Hygger!

ONLY Bubbles Sound, Lots of Air Flow, and Great 0% to 100% Control
NO hum CAN BE accomplished. Extremely low hum sound especially compared to my other air pump and returning model advertised as low noise (both air outlets must be used to be quiet). I totally reduced the extremely low hum to NO hum by placing the box included packaging foamy material under the air pump and placing about 3lb (1.4kg) weight on top of the unit; this got rid of any left over vibrations. I am checking for any heat where the foamy material touches the bottom of the air pump but none so far; I am very careful of the added foamy material because heat can reduce the life of the unit. The unit is sitting on the floor as shown in photo and will go under the furniture out of sight. The air flow is great as can be seen from one of the photos running at maximum into the 9 gal (34 liter) tank; in reality I see more air bubbles than the photo. The air control can easily keep the air flow at 0% to 100% and anywhere in between very easily; my other existing and another air pump I am returning are much harder in control. I am keeping the air flow at around half or less. There are two air outlets but if you only are going to use one, then either connect both into one with a T or Y valve connector, or block one of them. I am not sure if blocking one of them damages the unit so I have two output air pipes connected by a T valve connector into one pipe. Not using both output air outlets causes this unit to be as noisy as the competitors quiet air pumps like the one I am returning. In conclusion the price is a little high but for someone who can't stand the air pump hum, THIS IS AMAZING :-) I can actually sit on the couch look out the window and the fish tank and relax without any hum!!!The packaging of the unit is higher quality along the lines of quality computer products In comparison tosome of the other aquarium accessories. I guessing my unit quality is the same quality as all the other shipped units.I hope you found this helpful.

Air hoses and air stones
Received this item quickly and in good condition. Hooked it up and it works as advertised, so far, one month. However the ad and instruction show air hoses and air stones. They did not come with the unit. Lucky I had some.

Quiet
Actually quiet. I've ordered 2 others that were very loud and this one by hygger is quiet and puts out enough air. I have mine on the lowest setting.

Works really good for about a year. I have 4 of them, so i know. MUST READ!
I've bought 4 of these pumps, starting in 2019 and my last one was January of 2023. They are really good for about the first year. The valves go bad in them, then after a year, their performance greatly drops off. Now, they are really quiet.. which is nice. but so is the Whisper AP300 as well. So, Instead of buying a new Hygger every year, I've switch to Whisper AP300s. In Jan 2023, i bought a new hygger and new whisper ap300 for my 125 gallon aquarium. The hygger has recently stopped pumping, and the whisper is just as good as when i bought it 1 and a half years ago. Besides, i bought a repair kit for the whisper for $17.50, and that has everything you need to "renew" the pump to brand new performance.I did utilize the warranty on one of the Hyggers, and after a lot of debate and back and forth with the company ( they made me take the Hygger pump apart and send them pictures of the internal components?!?) , they eventually sent me a new one to honor the warranty ( that one stopped working at 10 months). I tried to get a repair kit for the hygger pumps, but all they would sell me are the diaphrams... and the problem isnt the diaphrams, its the flapper valves. I've been an aquarium enthusiast for 30+ years, and I've taken apart about 30 different pumps over the years.. most of the time its the flapper valves that wear out , because they flex like 10 times a second as the pumps run.Ultimately, The hygger is a great performing pump for about a year, and its really quiet. But considering the quality of the Whisper AP300, and its longer life/performance, I'm not ever going to buy a Hygger again, and i'll stick with the AP300s. (note, the AP300's are $20 bucks more, but you pay for what you get! worth it in my opinion)I hope this helps you make your decision for a quality air pump!!!
