WWII US M1911 / 1911 .45 Wooden Grips - Reproduction

They are nicely made from quality hardwood and look just as advertised. They did fit, but not perfectly until I performed some precision file work which was easy enough. Now they fit exactly right at less than half the price of similar grips, very happy with this purchase.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:The grips don’t even function! The certainlyDO NOT FIT a full size M1911-A1 at all!!! The screw holes are slightly too far apart, the grips themselves are way too tall and almost cover the slide and the left side grip totally interferes with the slide release to the point that the grip won’t even sit down flush on the frame! Totally useless!

These grip scales are amazing. Sharp detail and finished right.Screw holes are a little shallow on reset so you might have to go a little deeper with a drill bit, but other than that, the are amazing.Seller is also amazing.Sent the wrong scales, but quickly replaced with the correct ones. No hassles.Quick to respond to messages and very polite.

They were definitely a bit too tall, and the bolt holes didn't line up. The right side holes only required a small amount (~.025") of filling. The left side would not allow the safety to be moved down and required a nearly ¼" x ¾" notch. The left side bolt holes also did not align. The pattern seems possibly to be hot stamped, but maybe it's engraved. I can recognize a pattern in the stippling from the pictures online and from side to side. There was a strong and odd odor, similar to burning plastic, maybe, when I first opened the packaging. Once fitted, I was actually quite pleased with them. Over the past 2 days, the smell has dissipated.

I have a Turkish 1911 (it's my first 1911 and I'm not able to spend $2,000 on a handgun right now) and these grips fit really well. They were slightly off in terms of where the screw holes are located, but honestly not by much. I was able to get them on and secure really easily.

Waaaaay too tall to fit a 1911. They need to measure an actual 1911 and remake them.they do look nice though if you don’t want to put them on your pistol

Beautiful grips! Somewhat thicker and longer than those on my Cimarron 1911 reproduction. You WILL need to make adjustments by using a dremel or sanding to get them to fit correctly to a original model 1911, produced 1911-1924.

They look nice and feel nice but like other reviews the one that fits the left side that’s the side that the safety is on is drilled a little off and had to take my knife and adjust the whole to make it fit. Also the back is not coated with a sealer so yeh looks nice but with reviews stating such ya would think they would get it fixed but not yet. In the end I did make it work and looked and feels nice but yeh they need to fix those issues
