Honda 664070 GCV170 Engine Smart Drive Variable Speed 3-in-1 21 in. Self Propelled Lawn Mower with Auto Choke and Roto-Stop

I bought this mower because Honda is getting out of the gas mower business starting next year and switching to electric. That's fine for most people, but I run a lawn care business and gas-powered is more efficient for our needs.

After buying a new house, we were in need of our first lawnmower. Bought this after researching on consumer reports. Delivery was pretty simple and set up was as easy as snapping it into place. It is very easy to use and maneuvers well. My 11 year old, while supervised, can do the whole yard in less than 30 minutes. At first we were bagging, but it mulches grass up so fine, we can just leave it. With how little time the job takes, we mow once a week and never have to rake.

I like everything about this mower. It's an easy start, starts on the first pull. I am 78 year old woman and can use this mower without a problem. I like the lever that you can engage if you need to stop to open a gate, it will not turn off. Easy to adjust cutting height.

This is the second Honda mower I've owned. I really like the dual blade, why bag it when you can mulch it. Honda does a great job mulching. The first one lasted about 15 years w/o repairs, or even an oil change. I did pull the spark plug to clean and gap it, and kept the air filter cleaned. But, now the old one needs repaired, but I figured it was time to get a new one. This one is even better. Lots of improvements. I look forward to using this one for the next 15 years.

So far so good. It arrived in a box which i unboxed with a box cutter being careful not to cut any cables. Was easy to assemble and when i added gas and don't for get to put in oil, it started on the second pull. I like the feature that it stays running when you let go of the engagement handle for the blade. I worked on honda bikes back in the 70,s so i know how reliable honda,s are. I also have a honda snowblower also.

I bought this mower because of the self propel function considering i have a bad back. This mower has exceded my expectations, the self propel works great n if i push too hard can run away from me. I would buy again.

i wanted an my childhood lawnmower, we have always used Honda mowers but this one is strong for a 170cc engine also the blade clutch is so helpful compared to the mowers with the lawyer bar so no loud pop when i have to remove stuff in the yard
