An easy read that makes “counting calories” less stressful
This book is more of a long pamphlet but that doesn’t diminish the valuable information in it. Ellie identifies the most important macro nutrients that everyone should be eating and in the proper ratios. She spells it all out in very easy to read fashion and it feels more like a conversation. She outlines how to read nutrition labels and what to look for. She also gives plenty of sample meal options as well as the exact recipes for you to prepare at home. In addition to that she gives some quick calculations for goal setting and sample calorie ranges for both men/women to stay within when on their fat loss/maintenance or muscle building path. Ellie gives some great recommendations for clean eating at Fast Food restaurants with many recognizable chain establishments as well, since life happens to all of us and we can’t be super healthy all the time. One last great takeaway from this book is that you don’t have to deprive yourself when counting your macros. Ellie and many others who follow macro programs, (I’ve been personally using them off and on for a few years now) will tell you that an 80/20 ratio or so of clean food versus a cheat meal or two is more than fine and you’ll still arrive at your goals if you remain consistent and continue to workout and lead an active lifestyle. Life is meant to be lived and enjoyed, food should be no exception. .. Overall this is a great, yet simple read that will give anyone who struggles with food choices some sound structure on how to calculate what, when and even where to eat. Highly recommend this book.

Knowledge is Power!
Early review, will come back after my first week of using this the meal plan.First off, I bought this book because I Follow the author on Instagram. Her views on nutrition and exercise are right in line with where I want to be for my maintenance lifestyle.Quick, easy and to the point. Yes, it’s a little book. Yes, there are some typos (Ellie, I’ll proofread the next one). Yes, there is a lot of knowledge. No fluff like you get every time you go online for a recipe and you get a story about the authors dog and how she thought up this recipe while she was hiking. Straight and to the point with this book.I’ve done every diet under the sun and/workout routine. Read a ton of articles and books. Spent hours and hours trying to figure out macros and how to calculate them. This book made it simple to understand. When I had a question I sent the author an email and she answered it. That right there is worth the price of the book.Speaking of price, i love having paper books. I am not a big technology reader. This wasn’t published by some big company or to make millions, it costs money to make dreams happen. This book was written for you and me and the women and men out there that need the guidance to get yourself going in the right direction.I’ll be back with my results....

Straight to the point
I liked that this was a simple guide to counting and tracking macros. The percentages and equations were helpful. I would love more food lists though because getting 150 grams of protein per day can be challenging.

Basic and small
The book is very thin and not long at all, It also seems like it was more of a digital plan that was turned into a book As some of the visuals look like they were made on a phone. The information is very simple and basic. I do think this is much more for people beginning and is a basic summary of information. I would say for how small the book is it’s pretty overpriced - to give you an idea, it’s only 50 pages, larger print, and a lot of the pages have A picture that takes up the whole page (also why I believe it was a pdf/ digital plan turned into a book)

The Best Overview of Macros
Ellie has done an amazing job in explaining and breaking down the variables of Macros better than I’ve ever seen before! The best part is the description of the Macros Food List (I have the pic shown here) and the options for fast food! Love love this book and I highly recommend to anyone who is just starting out with Macros or even someone like me who had the basic knowledge because I learned more than I ever have! Great job Ellie!

keeps it simple and straight to the point
Oh, I ordered this book wanting to learn about, counting my macros and cleaning up my diet a little more. Wow let me tell you this book put things in perspective with me with how much protein I was lacking in my diet. She keeps things simple and gives you great ideas for meals and is very realistic and gives you ideas if you are going to eat out. This book was very helpful.

Overpriced
For the price of the book, I expected more. The explanation of macros and how to figure out your own is informative. Someone mentioned that there are several weblinks in the book, which is true. However at the end of the book, she does say you can email her or DM her on instagram and she will email you the links, which is nice. I didn’t use that (yet) but I have no doubt that she will respond. I follow her on IG and I find her to be very sincere and I believe she honestly wants to help people on their fitness journey. I think maybe one helpful option would be to send the electronic version to those who buy the hard copy so that they have quick and easy access to the links she references. The meal plans included in the book for men and women contain essentially the same food items, which means that the recipes are essentially the same, with some very minor tweaks. So it extends the book by several more pages because she includes the recipes under each plan. My rating is mostly a reflection of the price. I expected something more for the price.
