Love this black fabric shower curtain liner!
This is a GREAT shower curtain liner! This comes from a person who previously always bought expensive Hotel Collection black fabric shower curtain liners at Bed Bath and Beyond. Hotel Collection no longer seems to make the black fabric liner so I was forced to look elsewhere and glad that I found this Maytex fabric liner on Amazon in black. Black is so hard to find and I had to have it to go with my black tassle shower curtain. You could use this liner alone, as the fabric is nice enough that an outer curtain is not absolutely neccessary. You could also use this liner as a curtain! The fabric of this curtain looks exactly like the Hotel Collection curtain fabric. I cannot tell any difference at all. The Maytex curtain does not have metal grommets and does not have any weights on the corners (like Hotel Collection) but I find that you don't need them and I don't miss them at all. One thing I was worried about was the color bleeding or staining my white tub, as I had read had happened to some people reviewing other brands of this same product. I have had this curtain for 6 months and no staining or bleeding whatsoever. I haven't washed it yet but it is needing a wash at this point. It is so cheap though, I won't feel guilty if I want to get a new one in another 6 months or so. This liner does not leak either- I read Brandon Taylor's review and have to agree with him 100% that if you shower like a normal person, you should not experience an leakage onto your floor. Even if you have kids that like to splash around, it still should not leak at all. One more interesting thing about this curtain: my husband and I have noticed that when you are in the shower, you can see out of it but no one can see you while you're in the shower. Kind of like a one-way mirror. All in all, a great shower curtain for an awesome price!

Great shower liner
Way easier to keep clean (and better looking) than a typical plastic linear.

Great Pricing, But Water-Repellent?
The price of this shower curtain is hard to beat. It is economical enough to purchase another one when it gets mildew stains that won't come clean when it is put into the washing machine. However, the water-repellency is marginal. There are very fine droplets or mist on the rim of my bathtub that have obviously come through the curtain after I shower. This is not a huge problem for me, but just be aware. I like the fabric-look rather than a plastic liner, so it is something that I live with.

The best
I wish I had this in my life sooner. I HATE plastic liners, they touch me and never seem clean. This works beautifully. Does retain a little water though as it is a fabric but dries quick.

Best shower curtain I've had so far.
Usually I get the mid level shower liner from Wally world or 🎯. The last a few months before the start to look cloudy. Also plastic liners always feel cheap and always seem to lay weird too. This curtain was on sale. It is awesome. It feels so soft compared to the plastic ones, it lay on the tub edge like a glove, and truly is very water resistant. After a shower we just give it a couple of taps to shake most of the water loose. It dries quickly and is machine washable. Only downside is the holes to hang it are just slits (no metal grommet).

Machine washable, water resistant, nice looking
This is a shower liner which looks good enough to use by itself, and is also machine washable. The magnets on the bottom of each end work well, so far. We'll see how well the machine washable part works, and if the magnets rust (a common flaw), but for right now, this is the best shower curtain I've owned.

Deceiving product descriptions. A useless shower curtain liner..might as well use a bed sheet
I initially purchased this fabric shower curtain liner for its machine-washable capability. So washability is its only positive aspect. It took well to a light spray of water-vinegar mixture to help ward of mildew, and washed nicely in the washing machine on the gentle cycle. I hanged it back up to air dry.As for it's performance as a shower curtain liner it is very disappointing and I DON'T recommend it to others to buy. I now understand why they call it water "repellant" as opposed to waterproof, but I would still expect a shower liner to handle more water splash than it did (although I did see other reviews say their "waterproof"-advertised versions were ineffective as well). So if you have a very small shower, you probably should not get this curtain liner as you really want to avoid as much big water spashes onto it as possible. It can handle light splash, but will definitely flood your floor if your shower head is spraying directly onto it. Ok, if my shower were huge that I don't have to worry about splashing on it, then it would be fine to hold on to it for longer, but I feel I've given it a fair 6 months trial to determine it's just not a good product in general-just think, would you want a raincoat that lets the rain soak through??Oh and another feature the curtain has are the weights on the two bottom corners. Since my shower tub does not work with magnets I cannot say if the magnets work, but i do know that the weight is heavy enough to keep the corners down, BUT you will still find that the rest of the curtain will billow and float from the heat and steam because the curtain is so light. So two magnetic weights on the corners are not really enough, you would need more along the bottom to keep the rest from floating outward. So the white color I bought it in was nice, let a lot of light through, and it was easy to wash. But damn it was so ineffective as a shower curtain that I can't consider it a shower curtain, it might as well be a bed sheet! Gonna switch this shower liner out as soon as I buy a replacement, and definitely NOT buying this one again.
