Leaks profusely and wont honor an exchange
The product was priced well if it worked but now im out paying my employee to install it only to have a worse leak than the previous rack. Ill now have to buy another and then have the truck realigned. This leaked as soon as we fired it up and is only getting worse... constant drip while running

Fits as it's supposed to.
I have not had any road time with this yet. It fit & functions like it's supposed to but I have other work to do on my truck so it's not ready to drive yet. (Amazon pushes on the reviews - I usually ignore them but it's a rainy day so I'll give one). Since I can't drive that yet, I only gave 4 stars, and that was due to the poor packaging. I'll update it once I've had a chance to test it out on the road.I have used a lot of Detroit Axle parts and so far none have let me down. So I will certainly use them again. My only gripe is with the packaging. The box arrived with the tie rod poking out through. But everything was there and undamaged.

Installed and works great.
do a good check!! Found out after the fact that the power steering fluid leak was really the new power steering pump just above the rack. My bad!

This is an expensive fix if it's not the problem
My son's 2008 F-150 King Ranch was leaking power steering fluid. He'd already had a mechanic insist it was the high pressure line. It wasn't. I replaced the rack & pinion because I thought I saw fluid coming out of the driver side boot ... that wasn't it either. I saw a loose clamp on the low pressure line and tightened it up (but I suspect it needed to be replaced). Son took car to another mechanic who said it needed a new pump ... replaced it ... and lost all the fluid over a week or so. Next step? Still in progress!
