This... is NOT the "freely posable" kind of arm, but it works fine
Bought this as my original arm is having some problems rotating. However, the description didn't quite explain the caveats with this arm. While it is usable, it's of a completely different design that requires that retractable arm to be of any use. Most webcam/microphone arms like this have springs and double-hinged arm to stay stable in whatever position you leave it in. So the arm can be "freely posed". Not this one. This one you have to LOCK the arm into specific positions as dictated by the individual "gear tooths", you then tighten the setting know to lock that joint into that position. So this is NOT freely poseable. You CAN pose it into positions, but you have to loosen each joint, then tighten them back up to set it to a new position. With that said, the extendable / retractable arm, as well as adapters do make this arm quite usable for various purposes. Right now I have it as a microphone arm, holding a free-float mount and it works quite well. I just have to remember to push it "in" (retract the arm) instead of push it up (and away from me, as on the old arm). The extra accessories, like adapters for different mounts, as well as an tilt head, plus some hook-n-loop ties, are nice. And the whole thing is actually quite nicely made.Just "beware" that this arm, is not the free-pose kind of arm. But it works fine. I'm using it now.

This is the most perfect Goose Arm I've ever used!!
This Goose neck mic arm is so much better than the 2-piece spring ones you find everyhereIt's incredibly adjustable and holds positions amazingly wellIt holds my FIFINE K658 microphone with no problem (which weighs about 2.25lbs).

Very very solid. Sometimes a hassle but definitely a good product.
The stand works pretty well, however it can get a bit tedious at times. Its also not always the easiest to set up, however I do also know my setup is a bit different than most. The locking joints are also very very nice, however moving it around after its locked is a bit of a struggle. Sometimes its also a little wobbly, and it can cause some issues. Aside from that, I don't really think theres much else negative to mention. It feels nice and very high quality, it's got a very good distance, always a great feature, which lets me pull back from my desk a little when needed. Very solid, and a good choice for anyone who struggles with knocking their mic around.TL;DR- The product feels and looks high quality. Its a little bit of a hassle to set up and move around, but still simple enough to use. Nice distance and feels secure most of the time. 7, Maybe 8 out of 10 product

Very good for very specific requirements
Much like others have noted, this boom arm is great if you have very specific needs and understand the pros and cons of what the arm offers. I needed something that I count on the back of a standing desk attachment and which could also swing under my monitor. There aren't many arms that can offer that, and this one does.Buyers should know that the arm, while adjustable, is not dynamically adjustable with springs or pneumatics. This uses a geared tension mount and once you lock an arm into place, that's where it is going to stay. For my purposes, this is perfect. I like that the desk clamp offers a tension knob and that it can be optional - this allows me to swing the arm into use, or away from the desk without loosening or tightening anything. In terms of quality, the arm is definitely solid, although there was a bit of wobble in some of the extension mounts which required that I really lock things down. Not a big deal, but understandably there is a little bit of bounce or wobble when you use it the way I do.The different attachments were extremely helpful. I use a wide studio mic and needed the 5/8 attachment which threaded with no issues. Truly the only reason I docked one star at all, which would only be like half a star at most, was that if you use a mic like I do which has jacks or ports on the bottom, the supporting rubber foot on the ball mount will completely block access. Thankfully, it was removable and the mount still holds my mic tightly. No more cable issues!

Great Mic Stand!
The media could not be loaded. This mic stand is super sturdy and fits perfectly on my desk. I love how adjustable the mic stand is and how you can even bend it to adjust the height of your mic. Setting up the mic stand was hassle-free and easy to do! The mic stand also came with different attachments for different mics which makes it very versatile! I have been using the mic stand for a couple of days and have had no issues with it. If you are in the market for a compatible and versatile mic stand then I definitely recommend this product!

A decent LITTLE boom arm stand, depending on your needs
Many of the pros and cons of this boom arm stand have already been listed in other reviews, with both sides hinging on your specific needs. The only thing that I will add that surprised me was the short length of the primary arms. The pictures are very deceiving. Many of the other boom arms out there have 15 - 17" arms, while these are only 12". It achieves a similar full length as the others with the extension, but it gets very unstable in a full horizontal position with a mic & shock mount or other device of any weight. Where it works well for the money is with a short reach and static, locked position or with a light device. If those aren't your needs, you'll want to look elsewhere.

Overall a really great mic arm
The media could not be loaded. The mic arm is pretty sturdy and easy to attach to the side of my table. You can twist the end bit around to adjust the angle. The second bend part (where I’m pointing) can also twist for adjustment. It took a bit of physics to find the right angle for the it to be able to hold up the mic up properly. But once you find it, the arm is pretty stable. It also comes with multiple cable ties, which was super handy. I really like how the top bit where it’s connected to the mic is a gooseneck as well. Also, in the box came with little screw adapters to fit your mic.The only two faults I can find, firstly is the motion is a bit limited, when bringing it forward and putting away, it does take a bit of grip and force.Second, you can’t completely fold it down because the second part is longer than the end part. See last photo. But overall, I like it :)The delivery was great as well.

Very disappointing
It's overall design is perfect, but the materials used (mostly plastic) made it too flimsy and wobbly. I had to use an inhuman mount of strength to tighten up the arms to stop my Microphone (Samson C03U weighs same or less than a Blue Yeti) from slowly drooping down.I guess this is one of those things you get what you paid for, but if the material was better and plastics changed to metal, the design would be perfect for people needing something better than a cheap 2 join metal arm..I think this product would be good for a phone holder and used on a desk you are not using or working on..

Cheap plastic
The stand is made of cheap plastic and metel which makes it fragile at the end of the arm IT is glued together if you move it too much it can't hold a mic anymore it will just spin due to the weight not being distributed. Don't buy this get something that has springs and not a "Gooseneck" and it can not hold move than 250g (lb 0.6)

NOT GOOD FOR DYNAMIC MICS
This stand did not work for me. There is no range of motion, so when you set the mic, it better be perfect. The way my mic sits on this feels like it's going to make the stand break (I have a Rode PodMic) and it's less than 4lbs. I would say this is more of a webcam mic (it actuay says tablets and webcams on the box). This thing was no good for me. RETURNED.
