It is specifically designed to be a primary or secondary seal in a variety of glazing systems. It is self-shimming, so you don't need shims or spacers. A minimum of 15% compression will provide a watertight seal. Its PVC structure gives an extremely high coefficient of expansion/contraction when there is movement in joints or seams. The tape may be overlapped at corners, and will compress to seal. It will not dry, crack, crumble or powder, and does not change color or composition when exposed to fungi or ultraviolet light. It is easily applied in temperatures from 35°F (2°C), recommended application temperature is 60°F (15°C) to 100°F (38°C). The service temperature range is -60°F (-51°C) to 180°F (82°C), intermittently to 200°F (93°C). It will not become sticky in hot weather or lose adhesion in cold weather.
