Really good for step by step but not baby steps. Great color photos of paint steps. Detailed drawing to finished piece. Not every sea creature but a very good selection to get you started. Fun for summer wishes of the beach.

Louise DeMasi is a watercolor artist that has a painting style all of her own., She is one of the co-authors of this book and it is fantastic! It gives you precise instructions and step by step directions if you are new to watercolor like I am, Well worth the money!

The book gets five stars since it does a pretty good job with a subject not often addressed. It could be better though like with so many art books it could use more step by step instructions. And I don't really consider birds as a part of "sea" life. I think it would have been better to offer more examples of coral reef or other underwater scenes. Two of the artist's works are truly gorgeous and make the book as far as I'm concerned. By showcasing different artists you get to see different approaches too.

So far, I've only painted the seahorse. But instructions were good and easy to follow. I plan to paint more from this book!

This book is awesome and I am an experienced artist and instructor. I have been hunting for this book and was so glad that Amazon added it to their inventory. I also purchased the same e-book for only $2.99. What a deal. The instructions are very detailed, the colors are very brilliant and I can teach from this book because Walter Foster allows artists to paint these pictures themselves without a copywrite issue. I also am a winter Florida resident so that is why I want sealife.

It is work having just to look at. Easy to follow instructions. It is a step above beginner, but not quite a intermediate painter level.

all the artists are talented, the book has amazing step by step photos artist quality to follow along with the professional artists.

Loved the paintings, I have painted with Hailey and watching her style and then seeing it printed was great! I can keep the book at home and review and see how to work the style into my skillset. Watercolor painting is intimidating and she makes it much more simple with breaking it down to basics.I am a fan, now and always.Next book she will also be a co-contributor will be on scenes from Texas State Parks. Can't wait...coming out in 2020-2021? LP
