ArmorSuit MilitaryShield Anti-Glare Screen Protector for Amazon Kindle Voyage - [Max Coverage] Anti-Bubble Matte Film

If you are on the fence on if you should get this screen protector or a different brand, I hope you choose this one. I have used screen protectors for all of my electronic toys. And I have gotten good about putting them on with the least amount of bubbles or fur (I have 2 cats and a dog) and I do this in the bathroom after someone has taken a shower to cut down the dust and fur factor. I decided to try this one because the brand that I usually use doesn't make one for my Kindle Voyage. I read the reveiws and liked that it had 5 layers in it, that it was easy to put on, that it has a lifetime guarentee and that if you get anything between the device and the protector, you can lift it back up and take it out. I watched the youtube video they suggest you watch before applying (great idea to do) and started doing my application. It was easy. I did have one piece of fur stuck on it, no problem. I just lifted it up, used the solution and got the fur out and repositioned it back on. It was so simple. So easy to move it around so that it covers exactly where you want it to. No more using the little pieces of tape to try to take the fur off the sticky side. I put it on last night, let it sit overnight, looked at it today and no more little bubbles. Just a smooth surface. Can read my Kindle Voyage clearly without fingerprints on the screen. It was easy to apply. ALOT easier than the old type where you can get fingerprints on the sticky side using the tape pieces and trying to lift it back up and position it correctly over holes or buttons. I have ordered more of these for my other devices. Won't use the other screen protectors that you have to peel off and place, and lift because it's not straight, then place and lift, etc. You get my meaning. Great product!!!!

The wet install takes some practice but it does allow the user to make micro adjustments for proper alignment. I would give it a 5 star but as mentioned by others, the matte screen does negate the high resolution of the Voyage. The fonts are now blurry especially when reading in the dark. Attached pic during the film removal. Right side is with the film. Left side is without film. Ignore the half inch strip in the middle which stretched during my jagged scissor cut.

Application instruction was easy to follow and no bubbles! The trick for me is to spray the protector adhesive side pretty wet so the film can be easily moved around to reposition. If there is too little liquid, it's difficult to move and to squeeze bubbles out.Once the screen protector is dried, I can't even tell it's there. It has the same matte look and very similar texture as Voyage screen itself, which I like a lot. It does makes the text less sharp though, for this I knock off a star.Don't know how well it stands over time or for scratch protection yet.

As a longtime Kindle fan since Gen 1, I am so enjoying my Kindle Voyage. Although screen protection is a very personal preference, I invested in and applied a screen saver--always have for my Kindles because I vacation with my Kindles & beach sand can be unkind to bare screens, and I am a perfectionist when caring for my electronics. This screen protector is exceptional, feels and looks virtually identical to bare screen. But thus adds protection, just in case for my investment in the Voyage. I have great experience with screen protectors, dating back to Palm Pilots back in the day (decades ago), Blackberry's, various old and now new smartphones, tablets, and if course prior gen Kindles. My preferred choice has been Zagg InvisibleShield. But for my new Voyage, I bought the ArmorSuit Military Shield Matte/AntiGlare screen protector. It applies, with supplied spray fluid, much like (really the same) as my longtime beloved Zagg InvisibleShield. But Z apparently doesn't yet have one customized for the Kindle Voyage. ArmorSuit comes to the rescue. The key to application is to understand the instructions--watch their website video--and you MUST use plenty of their supplied wetness spray solution, lots on your very clean fingers and lots on the protector itself (and on your powered OFF device too, if you carefully dare) and go slowly, carefully. With enough wetness, the protector will install without bubbles or intrusions. And better yet, if you have some, you can remove it and reinstall--just remember to clean your hands, install in a clean environment, and use LOTS of their spray fluid. Enjoy!!!

I got this screen protector to protect my kindle voyage since I got it secondhand off of ebay. I know it's already been used so I wanted it protected from any further damage in the future. I saw negative reviews of the product mostly relating to the installation and blurriness of the words with the protector on but from my own personal experience with installing this on my kindle, the words were only blurry while the solution was drying. After it all dried the words were clear and readable. It is highly recommended y the manufacturer to not turn on the kindle until after the solution has dried. I didn't do that but I think you should. I do have some air bubble on the protector but they're minimal and away from the screen. They were bigger but using the blue applicator provided with the product helped smooth them out. As long as you follow the directions, watch the instruction video provided in the link on the instruction paper received with the product and WORK FAST, your installation will be fine. I've never installed a screen protector before and normally only have professionals do it for me when I need one for my phone but for my first time installing a screen protector on a device I didn't have too many issues. I dock the installation process one star because the whole process was a bit confusing and you need to read so many instructions carefully...and watch their video. Plus I didn't like having to use the solution on the protector since it does get onto the kindle to help act as glue. It's not glue, it's water based but it's necessary to help the screen protector stay on the kindle. I hope this honest review helps anyone else looking for a screen protector for their kindle voyage!
