It’s a good idea and feel it’s less toxic than spot on treatments but unfortunately it caused irritation where my dog kept scratching at her neck & once removed the itching stopped. I’m going to try limiting use only for her walks rather than her wearing it all day.

Easy to use but don't do it Job. I don't know if the dog got to wear it for a week or so for it to work but my dogs has had it on for a month I say an they still got some fleas some how? So don’t bother wasting you money on it better to get it from the vets.

This dog flea collar is one of the 'rubber' type flea collars that require you to fit them and then trim them to size to fit your dog. You have to be a bit careful when doing this as you want them reasonably snug but not too tight or too loose that they flop about or can get caught on things. They are also not designed to be used as a replacement for a traditional collar, they are instead an additional collar that is worn to help prevent fleas, ticks and other nasty things from living on your pal.While aesthetically they are not the greatest look this is made up for by the effectiveness of the collar, although these will not solve a flea problem on their own, combined with a 'spot-on' or 'tablet' treatment they are very effective. They are also fairly long lasting meaning you don't have to replace them every week or two for example.One thing I should mention is that when you first get the collar out of its packing it does whiff a bit, but this soon dissipates and becomes pretty much un-noticable after a short period.This one is a little more expensive than some, but it is effective so can be considered worthwhile.

This collar came sealed in a foiled packet within a cardboard box. Better than the tin that some other types arrive in unless you have a good use for the tin after.The collar is easily fastened around the dog's neck and any extra can be cut off. It takes a week for the collar to take effect so don't apply it one day before your dog goes for a walk in a sheep field.Care must be taken with a dog wearing this collar especially prolonged contact such as sharing a bed, and this is even more important around children due to the adverse effects that could arise.The collar gives flea protection for 16 weeks, tick protection for 6 months and sandfly protection for 5.5 months.The dog was perfectly content to have the collar put on and so far this is a really easy and economical way to give the flea/tick protection especially compared to the tablets she previously had. So far there have been no fleas/ticks so a win as far as I am concerned.
