Took a chance and won!
I'm usually skeptical about buying unreviewed or under reviewed products, but I took a chance and I'm glad I did. I did some tugging, all straps and attachments were sturdy. My 13 inch MBP with a leather cover in the sleeve, plus books and my phones. Great purchase.

Pretty much exactly what you'd expect
For all the reviews on here that said 1. it was going to be smaller than expected and 2. it was going to be darker than expected, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that is not entirely true. As someone who is 5'2", I expected the backpack to fit my frame a little better than most backpacks do, but this is still rather bulky on me. So, yeah, it's about standard size for a backpack. The color, which I got in brown, is exactly as shown, if you just imagine that the picture was taken in good lighting and is not naturally light brown. It's the exact color you'd expect leather to be, so if you're picking between colors, I'd recommend going with brown. I think it actually looks better in person than the black. The straps are surprisingly short but are pretty comfy. Wide, so it distributes weight pretty well. I think for people taller than 5'8" the straps might pose a serious issue, if you prefer your backpack to hang around your butt like I do. That's why I gave it four and not five stars. That, and the fact that the side pockets are mesh and a little too tight for me to fit anything more than my phone (iPhone 6 with case) in comfortably. So, a water bottle? Most likely will be kept in the actual backpack. There are reviews that complain about the zippers but I'd argue that the tightness actually makes it a little bit more pickpocket-proof. It requires a little yank that lets you know if someone is opening it from behind. There's no inner pocket that zips up so if you're using it for school like I am, you'll need some sort of pencil pouch. I can comfortably fit my 13-in Macbook Pro without a sleeve into the laptop pocket, and honestly, I don't know the exact measurements of any 17-in laptop but I'm pretty sure you could fit one in too, without a sleeve. I haven't tried it yet with a sleeve. Honestly, I feel comfortable not using a sleeve anymore because the backpack's pretty well cushioned. But that's just me.I also agree with reviews that it smells fine upon arrival. Smells very unbothersome. All in all, I'm very happy with the purchase I made and quite surprised that it only cost $25. As a college student in NYC, it's perfect for my needs.Edit: It's more than a year later (16 months to be exact) and I'm needing to replace this (as of like a week ago). I personally am fine with that, since it's $25 and for that price I was surprised it even lasted a year. The first things to go were the plastic strap adjusters; one is fine but the other broke about 6 months in when I stepped on it, and completely broke off last week (so I can't even tie the strap in place). One of the side pockets is also torn; the mesh broke away from the stretch band at the top, so it's still functional as its original purpose but just looks stupid.I'm blown away by the fact that, other than these minor accidents, this backpack has not a scratch on it. The zippers work as smoothly as ever, the leather is only a bit worn down in a way that makes it look lived-in rather than battered, there's been minimal stretch, it's super easy to clean both inside and out, the ventilation on the back and straps is great, and the padding still protects my valuables just as well as I said in my first review. I've tossed it (within reason) on cement benches, on sidewalks, on grass, in classrooms, at the bottom of my car truck under other stuff, and all over the subway and it's still good. Honestly, if I felt like replacing that one plastic adjuster, I could probably use this backpack for another year and a half if I took good care of it.

I've been looking for a black leather back pack for college but I could only find small ones and this one is just what I needed I even added a red puff ball

Magnificent, my best bag in years
I got this bag to take to college with me every day. I was worried that it would be too small or, like many other bags, after too many days of being overstuffed the bottom would break. That absolutely isn't the case.It has a small footprint, but its deceptively roomy. It has a really high quality look and feel. I fit in it a 12 pocket folder, my laptop and case (13 inch, I don't trust "laptop backpacks" lol), 6 campus notebooks, my motor I planner, a pencil case, a medium sized makeup bag, all my other electronics and chargers, a small emergency kit, and 2 textbooks. All these things are easy to maneuver still and none of the seams are straining. I could probably fit much more if necessary. The water bottle holders were surprisingly great. I usually don't use them for water bottles because I move around a lot (I commute daily via train and bus) and they usually snag or fall out. These are reinforced and just don't.

Buying another. Thinking I should maybe buy 2 more, actually.
I'm purchasing my 2nd. This backpack is the best! I was NOT expecting to like it. When it's new, it looks sleek and expensive. I got several compliments. Plus, it's soooo convenient, with the side pockets so I can grab something quickly while it's on my back. It's large enough to fit my laptop, a makeup bag, a notebook, wallet, and a snack. Do know that it is NOT as big as a regular notebook. It won't fit a clunky binder or clunky shoes, for instance. But as soon as the sheen wore off, it lost its appeal. So, I'm buying another. So worth it for the price. The original lasted 14 months before losing its charm, and I was carrying it about 50% of the time.

Luvvit already - THANKS!!!
This is a very lightweight backpack for light travelling and to carry my Tablet/Laptop/Kindle &/or a book or two. Definitely not for hiking or camping. A city to home kind of a companion. Well made and well put together, with a stylish kind of a finish top to bottom and interior too. The material is said to be leather. Although I suspect that time will prove otherwise. For the time being; I am guessing leather-ette? I will enjoy it until then. On the right side, is affixed a handy pocket for my cool/hot drink. And on the left is a compartment for my Cell-phone. The pocket at back is large and looks inviting for my diary, keys, toothbrush/toothpaste & other paraphernalia for my travels. I am already falling hard for her ...THANKS!!!

Incredibly durable backpack, not too big, sleek
I can't say enough good things about this backpack. First of all, the price is very low, and you'd think that would result in a low quality product. I've had this backpack for 2 years now, and have traveled to 4-5 countries, many states, and worn it in various weather conditions. I keep thinking it's going to break, due to me overloading it, throwing it around, etc. but so far nothing has broken whatsoever. No peeling/delaminating, no broken zippers, no ripped stitching, nothing. It's very 'minimal' in design which I really like, yet has enough pockets/sections for most of my needs. I fit a 15" Macbook Pro (w/ hardshell case) into the interior laptop compartment, and have plenty of rooms for charger, gadgets, travel pillow, and other things. If you're thinking about it, go for it.
