I love this brand! Great paint inexpensive price!! The colors are vibrant and take to the skin in an amazing way!! They hold up well to the active wear and still easily wash off with soapy water. The bright blue does sometimes stain but it can gotten off with a soft scrubby and soapy water or makeup remover.Many kits include makeup grade glitters that are great to add accents to your face paint and glitz up the look.They include some sticker stencils that ai find hard to use and a idea guide with step by step instructions that is great for beginers to get an idea and start using their paints to create common popular paint designs. The kit lasts for about 100 faces.

I am really impressed with these face paints. I consider myself to be a moderately experienced professional face painter and I have used everything from waxy Halloween face painting kits to hobby store kits to professional palettes. I needed new paints for doing face painting at my daughter’s school fall festival, and after reading the reviews I decided to give these a try.The color saturation is very nice, they glide on easily, it’s easy to achieve desired consistency, and there is plenty of paint to do a lot of faces. If you were to do only single designs instead of half or full faces, you could easily paint more than 100 people.I did a super quick test on my arm to see coverage, how well it glides, dry time, and bleed point (how much water is too much before it starts feathering and bleeding colors - you can see on the right side of my ice cream cone that I had too much water for my black outline). It also feels great on the skin and moves and flexes well so as to not crack. It passed the “squish” test: squishing or stretching the skin to see if any cracks or smudges/distortions appear once the skin returns to normal. It also passed the “dry smudge” test: rubbing dry fingers over the finished dry painting to see if anything smudges or cracks. I did not have a chance yet to test how the paint reacts to sweating. Will update my review once I test that and have some results.I haven’t tested the hair chalk, but I did take a test drive of the glitter. Unfortunately, the large chunks didn’t stay in place well on their own, so I won’t use this glitter for my daughter’s school event. You would probably need some sort of clear primer/gel to make it stay. The inclusion of face and hair stick-on gems is a nice addition.Overall, I’m extremely happy and satisfied with the performance of the paint and value of this kit. I would definitely recommend it and purchase it again!

Let me just say I am a huge fan of these paints. I'm just starting to do face painting professionally and got these as my starter paints, the price was good and the reviews were positive. I was expecting for the price something that wasn't of high quality. Here are the reasons I love these.Pros:1)The fact that they are vagen didn't really float my boat, but I have clients that were very impressed.2) easy, easy clean up I'm a professional makeup artist and have used other paints before and nothing has cleaned up as well as these do. Even the red comes off easily.3) They are truly good for sensitive skin. My daughter that has extremely sensitive skin did not have an issue with these. Well nothing is 100% different people react differently to things.4)They are not heavy on the skin nor do they dry out the skin. I work with autistic children and other face paints have been an issue these have not.5) they are extremely user friendly, they blend well, the pigment is good, it's easy to fix mistakes.6)Blue squid treats their customers well, there customer service is the best I have ever dealt with and they always have coupons, discounts and special deals going on.Cons:1) The stencils that come with the kit are crap.2) The brushes that come in the kit are good to practice with, invest in the Blue Squid brushes they are amazing.3) I wish they had more color options.4)There is a little bit of a learning curve with how much water to use. If you are use to water colors you should be okay just remember less is more with these.

The pigment of the face paint in this kit really impressed me! It was opaque, which allowed for solid designs on all skin tones. Sometimes face paint can be too thin or too transparent, but this paint covered well and was easy to apply. It seemed to stay on well throughout the course of the day and it washed off easily.

We tested these before using them for a Community BBQ and they were worth it! Included are 3 brushed, 12 colors, booklet with a dozen ideas, and sticker and stencil appliqués. You may want to purchase a 1-1.5” brush for easier full face application. The stickers that come with the kit work best on an arm or hand, applied with a makeup sponge. We couldn’t quite workout the plastic stencils but we also didn’t look into how to use them. We used this on an extremely hot day - no skin reactions from anyone and there no runny paint on faces from the heat. We also stayed away from painting on the eyelid. Washing was simple with soap and water and NO OILY RESIDUE left on face like other face paints. Worth the extra $$ for the quality and size group we had.
