The jar is thick glass and holds a gallon of water plus the filter and grounds. There's no seal in the lid so it should always remain upright to prevent spills. I took one star off because the filter doesn't have microperforations on the bottom where in my opinion it would need it the most.Udate: I'm changing my review to 5 stars because I love this so much. It doesn't matter that it has larger holes in the bottom. The fine particles settle in the bottom and because you don't lift it to pour like the pitcher kind, they stay there. No gritty coffee sludge In your drink.

This is a nice one, I've been really happy with it after using it about a dozen times. Before this my setup was a 5L tea pitcher that didn't have an integrated filter, so I had to spend a lot of time filtering out the grounds by hand with cheesecloth and a steel/paper filter afterwards. This is much easier and saves quite a bit of time on cleanup. Flavor is equivalent to other cold brew I've made.The quality seems very good at this price point, I like the gaskets they included for the valve, and the valve itself and nut are solid steel. Glass feels as durable if not moreso than a typical Ball jar, and I haven't broken any of those before so I am confident this will last a while. The small footprint is great since the 5L jug won't fit in the fridge, but this will.

Great container, holds a lot of liquid, I love it. But it leaks very slowly. It was filled to the very top and then after probably 30 hours, a cup or so was gone from it leaking.

The product arrived just before the heat wave came. It feels lighter than I think but the quality is good. I have been making iced tea ever since. What a savior for the summer!

Absolutely adore this ! I bought this a few days postpartum so I had some ready made coffee on hand in the middle of the night for diaper changes and feedings. We are over a year of use now and it's perfect super easy to use and clean all components it's an absolute gem I love it

THIS is thr ONE!! I ordered 2 different 2gt. to try out the concept of Cold Brew. Once I determined it was for me, this 4 qt. is IDEAL! Super easy-to-use and Superior Quality Brew. I Brew 4 days using Folgers Black Silk or CAFE BUSTELO (sometimes a mix of both 😉)

I have found my will to live going up with ecery cup of amazing cold brew. This thing is perfect and has become the most used item in my kitchen within a week. The homemade is just as good if not honestly better than any coffee shop brew I have found. There's zero coffee bitter taste and with a small splash of cream and some syrups. It's absolutely amazing! The best maker I have ever found!
