Purchased two of these - one to make pasta with, the other for my husband to "puck" his pipe tobacco. I do not make homemade pasta often as it is pretty labor intensive but this little tool did pretty good!!! Used my bread machine to make the dough then slapped a ball into the chamber on this puppy and got to cranking.For the pipe tobacco portion of it that went well too! The threads are heavy duty and even when we really cranked it down it held up well. Side note we also used wax paper with the tobacco pucking. Expect some tar like substances to also goo out as you pick the tobacco. May be a lot depending on moisture and PEG in the tobacco blend.

I don't use this for pasta/noodles. I started using this to press pipe tobacco and for that purpose it works wonderfully.

Great product and easy to use. I would highly recommend to everyone who love to make homemade pasta.

Be aware that this is two stainless sleeves press fit together, one inside the other and stay together by friction only. If you are using this as a tobacco press and use a sticky topped tobacco, a long column of compressed tobacco may stick to the sleeve walls and cause the inner sleeve to separate from the outer sleeve and try to push out with the tobacco. I solved this by riveting the sleeves together near the top where you would fill it.

Liked it but not recommended unless you know how to make noodles for the recipe because it doesn't come with any recipes.

Exactly what I needed to press tobacco for my pipe as soon as I bought it, it went up two dollars

I ordered this for a gift for my fiancé who loves to cook and create dishes and he wanted to try to make his own noodles. I was so excited to give this to him but as he opened it and looked at it, the product is not ready to use. The metal needs to be sanded and finished in places before he can use it. It looks like it came off the line and was just packaged without being properly finished and polished. So as a gift, he can’t use it until he does work on it. I’m so disappointed and frustrated. I knew for the price it wasn’t going to be top of the line quality but this is just beyond me. He can’t use the gift I got him, until he finishes what should have been done before it was even sold from the company. I wouldn’t recommend this product or company at all. I wanted to return it but he insists on doing the work on it and using it. That’s his decision, it’s his gift, but it angers me that the quality is so bad.
