I've read some reviews that say that the wire and the mat are not conductive. A few electrical engineers here said that. Well, I used to be one too. Guess what? The wire is about 99.6 kOhms (99,600 Ohms). The mat, measuring from a point on one end, to a point on the other end, is roughly 5 kOhms (or a bit more, it was not a precise measurement). I believe that this is by design. So, you have about 105 kOhms resistance from the 3 prong safety adapter, thru the wire, and thru the end of the mat. That's still enough for there to be a flow of electrons from the Earth to get grounded. Really.Mind you, grounding yourself in wet grass, or on a beach in the water is probably the best. In fact, I prefer it. But from personal experience, I can feel the effects as soon as I use the mat.So, what is your definition of 'conductivity'? The wire DOES conduct electrons, but not as readily as a wire with only 1 Ohm resistance. Again, I believe this is by design. I wouldn't feel too safe connecting a 1 Ohm wire to my body and then connecting it to the ground terminal of an electrical outlet, especially if there is a wiring fault, or an electrical storm. But that's just me.Also, the ground wiring in your house probably has some electrical noise on it, being close to the AC wiring. But that depends on how your house is wired. I'm guessing that a 100 kOhm wire would attenuate that a bit. Of course, a better option would be the grounding rod, to bypass all that.I cannot really speak to the quality of the materials at this point. I'm just here to set the record straight. The wire and mat DO conduct sufficiently for a flow of electrons to occur. Period.Of course, it is possible that the wire may silently break inside the plastic sheathing, and then becomes an open circuit (infinite resistance). It's also possible that the wire may not be properly connected or snapped in to the mat, so that would create an open circuit. Its possible that the wire may not be connected to the 3 prong adapter if the connectors are dirty, or corroded, or what have you. That's why you should get a real Ohm meter, or some kind of testing device to verify the 'conductivity'.Again, a resistance of 105 kOhms is normal and to be expected. I tried another grounding product some years ago from another company, and their wire was also around 100 kOhms. Only they were using the silver embedded in fabric.If the resistance ever goes higher than 105 kOhms, then I'l know that something is wrong.

I recently purchased this Earthing grounding mat and, while I can’t yet speak to the long-term benefits of grounding, I wanted to ensure it was actually working as intended. To do that, I tested it with my multimeter. The results were reassuring, and I’ve included photos to demonstrate the results.In the first two photos, I tested the continuity of the cord using the resistance (Ω) setting rather than the typical continuity mode. This is because the cord includes a built-in 100 kΩ resistor for safety, which prevents it from showing continuity on most multimeters. By connecting one test lead to the cord’s ground pin and the other to the opposite end (snap piece) of the cord, the multimeter read 100 kΩ—exactly as expected. This confirmed the cord and adapter are functioning properly.The next set of photos demonstrates the mat’s ability to ground. Before touching the mat, I measured my body’s voltage at 4.5V. After placing my hand on the mat, the voltage dropped to 0.0V, showing the mat effectively neutralizes (grounds) the electrical charges within my body.The mat is well-made, easy to set up, and I’m looking forward to using it consistently to see the longer-term effects of grounding. I’ll update my review after some time to share any noticeable benefits. For now, I’m confident that this mat works as intended and would recommend it to anyone curious about grounding.
