Both of the spacers individually were too short for it to work on a bug, but if you stack them on top of each other, it works great! Good for the rat rod look. The reverse lockout works great as well

I was concerned that this shifter wouldn't fit a later model baywindow, 1972. It does and it shifts like butter! The gears are much easier to engage and reverse is easier than before. I love my new shifter!Only downfall is a limitation on shift knobs to fit the trigger mechanism.

Awesome. I know sometimes EMPI can get a bad rap, but this shifter works well. Easy to install and the trigger shifter is a great feature. It makes it a lot easier to find reverse. Also, the shifting is a lot shorter and smother than the stock shifter.

The shifter didn’t last three days. The aluminum rivets was bad a idea it needs something like bolts and nuts or something with more strength.

Amazing. What a difference. 15 min install. My only gripe is the stick is 6-8" over towards the right. A small con compared to the pros of the shifting now. I wanted the vintage speed, but it was triple the price and it works just as well
