HDView IP License Plate Capture and Face Detection IP Network Camera, Color at Night, HLC Shutter WDR Motorized Long Range 7-22mm Lens, PoE 3-Axis IR Infrared Bullet Camera

This is an excellent HD network camera. We are using it specifically to monitor a training area in real time, and not for recording purposes. There is no SD card slot on this camera, so others looking to purchase this camera for recording purposes should be aware that you will need a network recording server/station to capture the signal. The camera itself is very basic, with a pigtail that contains a network jack (PoE capable), an A/C power jack and an audio (mic) jack. The firmware (onboard web server) offers many options. The camera is PoE, but if you don't have a PoE network then you can either use a PoE injector (which is what we did) or you can use a A/C adapter (DC 12v / not included) to power the camera.Initial connection setup is not DHCP unfortunately; the camera is preset to an IP address (192.168.226.201) so the easiest way to connect to the camera and the change settings is to hard set the Ethernet connection on a laptop or desktop computer to a different IP address in that subnet, then connect the camera to the Ethernet on the computer. If you can ping the IP of the camera, you are all set to call it up on a browser window.We will likely end up purchasing additional units, now that we know how to get the unit set up quickly. Great camera for the price. Easy to set up. Installed at a remote site. I have usedNetcam, and Geovision cameras. This one is simple.
