Spirograph Original Fun Shapes Set & Design Tin Set

I feel like I remember the plastic being sturdier when I was a kid, but my kids enjoyed playing with this set just fine. Be prepared with plenty of other paper and markers/pens, the ones supplied in the box don't last long.

Its just like it was 30 years ago. My granddaughter and I had a blast.

Here is a tip; don't bother with the putty that comes with this set. Instead, use tiny rubber feet! After some trial and error, I found some that work perfectly for this!Search for "Clear Soft Close Drawer Cabinet Door Bumpers - 3mm x 1.5mm".These things stick great! And way easier to use than the stupid putty that comes with it.I hope this helps! By the way, they work on All spirograph sets! All you need is to put on 3 or 4 of these rubber feet, evenly spaced, on your rings and you're good to go! Have fun!

The kids had a blast with these but it was kind of 'toy of the week' as it ended up in the junk drawer in a month

Product was as advertised. My granddaughter was able to open box and use immediately. Everything needed was included.

I purchased these for my grandson and myself hoping they would be as fun is the ones I had many many many years ago. I found that the odd shapes we're difficult to maneuver and use even for me let alone for my 6 year old grandson. It may have been that I wasn't familiar with how to use them. Both me and my grandson lost interest in them quite quickly and put them up and haven't used them since. I ordered another set that was all round like the ones I had as a child. Cheaply made and sprockets did not fit and move smoothly together definitely cheaper made than the ones from my time that worked much better than this product. Unless you are a avid spirograph user I would think you would find these difficult to use. For me I was disappointed and would not purchase again or recommend because all the difficulty to make consistent designs.

Well packaged, no issues with shipping, etc. This is a nice set to expand on the original. All pieces work well together with a couple of exceptions and some shapes are definitely more challenging than others. Trick is to go slow and with a light touch, don't force it. Don't bother with the putty and toss it. It's hard to cleanly remove from the pieces and leaves an oily residue on the paper. These work better when pinned down, especially if your work surface is not perfectly flat. Pens were ok, fine to test out some ideas but not what I'd use for an actual project.
