Some of the functions on my 10 year old remote stopped working - mainly, the fan controls. The fan is directly over my bed and I have respiratory problems so it's essential that I have circulating air in the room. I've been standing up on the bed to turn the fan on for the last month. I finally decided that I needed to buy an entire new fan.Before I did that, I noticed a model number on the back of the controller. Surely, I would not find one for sale considering how old it was. I was wrong! Amazon popped right up in the search engine. So, I checked it out. The reviews were good but I was still a bit skeptical but decided it was worth a try so I bought it, not really expecting it to work.It arrived yesterday. I inserted a new battery, pushed a button.. nothing happened. How disappointing! I was getting it ready to repackage and return when I happened turn the leaflet over that came with the fan. I saw a diagram with some dip switch settings. Again, I thought, how do I know which settings to use. Then, I opened the old remote (sure glad I kept it) to see how that switch was set. Changed the settings on the new remote, pushed a button and to my delight, the fan moved!!I am so pleased with my purchase!! The remote doesn't work but my old controller didn't have a remote on it so I didn't expect that to work but I am simply delighted that the fan works perfectly!! It might be my imagination, but I swear, the speeds on the fan are much faster than they used to be!! The dimmer on the lights is far more "controllable" than it was on the old remote. Another thing I was not expecting is, it came with a holder that one can mount of the wall. I'm so happy that I looked up that model number!!I wasn't expecting this to arrive until mid August but it came in less than a week! It was wrapped tightly in bubble wrap, then inserted in another envelope that was padded with bubble wrap. If there wa anything to complain about it might be that the battery is a very tight fit and is difficult to get out of the case.

In the Amazon Q&A, I asked whether this remote would work with my Hunter Model 25739 ceiling fan. The only answer was "Yes", from an anonymous customer not the vendor, without any explanation on which to evaluate reliability of the answer. Readers may have noticed that in other Amazon product Q&A's, customer responses are often unreliable, sometimes directly contradicted later by the manufacturer itself. But I went ahead and purchased the item anyway.Turns out this remote has only four DIP switches for setting a transmit frequency, whereas my Hunter fan has five. But I went ahead and tried different combinations to see if I could find one that worked. And the second combination I tried did work: On the Fan, switches 1-4 were ON and switch 5 was OFF; On the remote, switches 1-3 were ON and switch 4 was OFF.I have no idea whether other switch combinations would also match other switch combinations on the fan, but I can say for sure that if you use these switch combinations, it will work.Oh yes, and the remote itself has a nice feel to it and the buttons are pleasant to press. I would recommend it, but understand you might have to experiment with DIP switch combinations to make it work (or just try the specific combination above that worked for me.

The controller for our ceiling fan stopped working and I was drawing a blank finding a replacement. The problem is that the old controller (Halsey UC-7040) employs a five bit code (5 DIP switches) whereas all the replacements I could find are 4 bit (4 DIP switches). I contacted a large ceiling fan distributor and was told that there is no available replacement.On a hunch I purchased this controller anyway, knowing that it is supposed to be incompatible, but figuring I'd go through the 16 possible switch combinations and perhaps I'd get lucky. Sure enough, the second switch combination I tried works perfectly!I wouldn't guarantee that this would work for everyone with the same problem, but given the price of this controller it may be worth the risk.Quality wise -- this controller is all I need. Seems as well made as the one it's replacing and the controls are convenient and work properly.

I moved into a house and was left with a very faded out remote. I couldn't tell what to order to replace it. I mean nothing was on this thing and it did not work! Read reviews on Amazon and figured for the price why not! I was able to match the inside settings from the old one and BAM it worked. It does not reverse but that may be an issue with the fan. Idc because it turns on off and I am able to adjust the speed so I am thrilled! Reasonable price too. Thanks so much 🥰

I ordered this due to my original disapperaring. This happened to work upon my programming the 4 digit code in the back by the battery. If you are seeking one and want to program it the original control pad right above the battery and under plastic shows a 4 digit pin movable up and down key. You can also find the code on the ceiling fan itself after you drop it down it will be located on the oem motor in the middle of the fan. It looks like a small box that plugs in. This worked flawlessly and for the money is now my go to vender. Thanks!

We have a Honeywell ceiling fan, that was I. The house when we bought it, but no remote, and the wall switch does not work very well. We were going to replace the fan when I found this remote. It took a few tries to get the little switches inside the remote battery compartment to sync with my ceiling fan, but on the try when the light came on, I was thrilled. I would say it took about ten minutes to set up and works fabulous for all modes. This remote is for a fan that already is remote compatible. Just a simple item nothing fancy but worked for us. So glad I at least tried it before getting a whole new system.

The one exception is the reverse but that is a function of the light being too old to recognize the signal. All other functions, the important ones, work just fine
