Influence planets and recruit politicians to gain more influence for your faction. The fair sized mounted map, is made of 6 cake slices that fit neatly together. You play ships to gain influence on planets. Convert them to bases to reinforce your influence. Activate those bases to spread your influence. All this translates across the 6 planets. Recruit senators for more influence, pledges can gain more influence. There is no Player-versus-player fighting: Thematically you just want victory by a peaceful race for influence.This was a kickstarter. KS backers also got 2 small (18 cards each) expansions not included with this (identical otherwise) retail version: 'Cosmic calamity' and 'Tides of Triumph'. A smaller promo 'Houses Rising' (not sure how that was distributed) had 4 cards that enabled variable player powers. This is a fun game. Instead of 1 huge board, the board pieces (different planets) interlock and the order is different each game. Well thought out. Simple enough game, but good varied choices each turn.I play this a ton solo - they have rules for an AI player that work well. There is a YouTube video out there of the designer playing a solo game. Super helpful seeing the game in action.Strange that some of the pictured components are different. Just looking at pictures 2 and 3 in the listing here show slightly different cards and planet board pieces. Must be more than 1 edition floating around?

I love this game is wonderful and beautiful as well its mechanics are well balanced and components good 👍🏻
