Love the way they feel easy to put on

I bought these to replace the very blah, bulky, smooth wooden stock grips on my Rock Island 45 1911. Installed in just a couple of minutes and these are a much better look and feel to the stock grips IMO. The thumb relief for the shooting hand (right hand) is nicely placed. Recommended if you don't care for your RIA 1911 stock grips.

I really wanted to like these, but I just can't. Its not the product, its me. Magpul is stellar as always...but the thumb relief puts my firing grip in a weird spot, almost like I'm pinching the gun instead of gripping it. Like I said, its a me problem. They are not sticky but rather hard plastic with a firm texture. For less than 20 bucks, find out for yourself. You may love them. Also, you don't need to replace the standard grip bushings with short ones as some have claimed. Standard height works just fine.

Great upgrade, texture is great, the mag eject thumb clearance is awesome.

For whatever reason, I never thought about changing out my 1911 grips on my Ruger SR1911 Commander. I was bored one night and browsing around and found these. I assumed they would be more expensive because everything related to guns seems to be expensive, so I was pleasantly surprised by the price. It took like 5 minutes to install them and they feel amazing. Zero issues with compatibility (Ruger SR1911 Commander.) I didn't realize how much I hated the stock SR1911 grips! The thumb grove is life changing as I feel like reaching the mag release isn't as awkward.Absolutely zero cons with this product.
