Cheap plastic square. But it does work. Sort of.
For some reason I assumed this wasn’t going to be plastic but it is. Which to me, makes me question just how accurate it is given that plastic bends fairly easily. In fact, I’m not convinced that one edge of the square that I received doesn’t have a slight crown in it (so if you place it on a flat surface it will ever so slightly rock side to side). The 90 degree angle I believe is true. But it’s actually the flat portion running the length of the square that I am referring to. As a DIY’er it’s come in very handy drawing lines for cutting with my circular saw and even using the square as a saw guide. But if I was a professional, there’s no way I’d trust this to be completely accurate and would spend the extra and get a metal version.Update: I bought the metal version.

Never too old to learn. Why did I not have one of these years ago?
OK, I've used levels, L-bars, tape measures and likely lots of other stuff before finding this tool. What a revelation!! Can now feel confident in having a straight line, but not only that, can use for mitreing and more. OK, I'm still learning how to get all the benefits from using this. Well made. Just great!

Excellent speed square, especially for the price.
Excellent speed square. Quite accurate and good quality. Used it as my only speed square while building a sunroom addition to the house and everything is square as it should be, and angled as it should be. Have since used it for a bunch of other renovations. Very durable material (dropped it plenty of times, piled tools on top of it, but still looks like new). Also easy to clean (I got acoustic sealant on it once, also known as "black death", but it came right off with a good wipe). I didn't expect such good quality for such a low price.

Cheap alternative to a full heavy square
I love these Swanson Speedlite Squares, but the metal ones are kind of expensive if you don't use them every day. This is a nice, full size alternative and does the job just as well. A rare 5 stars, and if you have never used one take a look on Youtube for some of the things you can use them for that I never knew.

Handy little tool
Yes it's plastic, but it costs next to nothing and I don't think it'll break anytime soon. Does its intended job and helps you work quicker as you no longer have to waste time on second guessing whether your cuts will be straight and perpendicular.
