DaVinci Highland 3-Drawer Changer Dresser, Espresso

I cannot begin to describe how disappointed I am about this product.Saw all of the great reviews for the crib and dresser. Loved the look so we ordered them up. My brother-in-law warned me about DaVinci because he purchased two of their cribs for his twins about 3 years ago and they had subpar durability. After seeing the reviews I figured maybe things had changed.Well, after spending about 45 minutes putting the dresser together I went to drop the top panel into place. Just then I noticed a very thin, hairline fracture running down the entire panel. Missed it on my initial inspection of the parts. Needless to say I was pretty upset due to the time I've already spent assembling this thing. So I filled out the return paperwork hoping to get a new box, just remove the part I needed, and salvage the time already spent. Well, that's when I noticed a couple of small nicks on the front legs. I was shocked as I was being very careful and putting the piece together on a thick rug. So I decided to do a little test...I found that I could scratch the entire finish off, down to the bare white wood, with my fingernail! And I don't even have fingernails!! This did not seem to be the case on the top or back panel, just the legs, but either way...not acceptable.Needless to say the quality of this piece is so bad I'm not even going to unpack the crib. I'm just going to send the lot back. Now we're in a real bind because we're in our last trimester and need to start over on our furniture search. I've definitely learned my lesson on this one...no more Amazon furniture for me!

We got this as a gift for our daughter and son in law. One of the drawers was scratched which was a disappointment both to them and to me. It wasn't the box it came in, but when they unwrapped it it was scratched, so quality control should have caught it. They said none of the pieces were labeled. NOT A SINGLE ITEM. So the directions would say, place part P on part T and fasten them with H, but there were no labels on the dresser pieces, hardware or any of the screws. Thankfully, they've been putting together a lot of furniture lately and were able to figure it out but it added about an hour or more to their assembly time. They said, overall, it's a beautiful color, matches the crib and is quite sturdy, so they are happy with the dresser.

Disappointing, not as much solid wood as I expected. More fiberboard than solid pine. A bit stinky, hope it airs out before the baby gets here. Not the same quality as the crib it goes with. Difficult to assemble, the directions were confusing, screws and bolts were not sorted. It looks nice once assembled and the price was reasonable.*Update*: Well, it has been about a year now and it still smells when you open the drawers. I tried keeping the drawers open to air them out for about 2 months, wiped everything down with water with baking soda dissolved in it, tried putting them out in the hot sun, and put charcoal odor absorbers in all the drawers. The charcoal odor absorbers seemed to help but I think they have worn out now and the smell is back just as fresh as when it was newly put together. This makes me both angry and worried about what is making the smell (and off-gassing into my child's room). If I had it to do over again I would not purchase this dresser even though it matches the crib I bought. I am still happy with the crib, it seems to be a much higher quality and actually solid wood.

Poor quality. 2 stars instead of 1 because it was cheap. You get what you pay for. As many reviews mention, it's very easy to scratch the coating. Had a couple of scratches already out-of-the-box. The cam lock screws/nuts don't tighten very well. You'd do better to get an Ikea dresser.USE YOUR WALL ANCHOR! Not heavy enough to reliably stand on its own and not have to worry about tipping when the drawers are opened.Interesting to note...we got this to match the DaVinci convertible crib/bed. While the cam lock screws and nuts from the crib had the same problem, the coating on the crib isn't scratching off easily like the dresser, even though it seem to be the same surface.

Good, strong product. Not hard to put together if you are some what mechanically inclined. Directions were decent. Would have given 5 stars if packaging / handling had been better. You need to make sure you open it as soon as it is delivered and check each piece to make sure there is no damage. This item had some damaged pieces, but I will say the return to amazon was easy and the replacement was delivered within a week of me submitting the return request. I would also suggest not returning the first item until you get the replacement in case the second would happen to have a different part damaged, you can swap out the pieces you need.

I was extremely excited to order this dresser to finish off a nursery.First of all it arrived two (2) days after its guaranteed delivery. This is the first and only time that I have received a package from Amazon late and it was very frustrating. When I opened the package it was damaged and I had to return the dresser.Version 2.0 of the dresser arrived with also noted damage from shipping and I decided to cut my loss and assemble the slightly damaged, but full priced dresser.Upon assembling the dresser I noticed that opposing support walls were not of uniform cutes. The dresser is not square and has noted imperfections. I placed one phone complain in via phone to no success.Please note the style of the dresser is fantastic, but the quality material is poor.If you order this dresser/changing station expect to have noticeable damage from shipping. Several cam locks stripped and would not turn B several holes were not pre drilled correctly. My husband had to reinforce in several places until he felt safe having it around the kids. And we have assembled quite a few IKEA pieces and never had this problem. I expected more from a $400 dresser.
