Well made!
I got these for my zebra finches. The female had laid eggs and I don't want babies. I exchanged the 3 she laid for 3 of these fake ones (they look and feel the same!). She and the male have been sitting on the fake eggs faithfully. I feel so bad for fooling them, but I'm happy these eggs are so well made. These fake eggs have a little weight to them and they look exactly like the ones I removed. Recommend to all.

good fakes
If you are looking at these, you must have finches. Mine lay eggs all the time and I was looking at a good distractor and to minimize calcium depletion. These seem to be the same size as zebra finch eggs and the feel is almost like ceramic, although it says they are plastic. That said, I think the ideal would be ceramic that would store heat like a real egg. These seem close.

Don't Mix These With Real Eggs
The eggs are the right size and color, and my finches accepted them readily. However, the weight of the fake eggs was significantly greater than the real ones. When my female rejected the nest, she first pushed all the real eggs out. I'm not sure of the difference in weight was the reason, but I would advise caution if you only need to replace some of the eggs rather than all of them.

Works Perfectly
My zebra finches were laying eggs but stopped when I replaced two of their eggs with two of these. They sat on them for three weeks before moving to a different spot to lay another egg. I again replaced it and they seem content now a month later and stopped laying for now

It worked like a charm
They looked and felt real and even the weight was good, not light and all plastic like some. I placed one in the nest to trick my finches into laying and right away they started the next day!

They work for finches
I didn't want baby finches and the female layed eggs. I replaced them with these eggs and added an extra after she had 5. She stopped laying and I let her sit on them two weeks then removed them. She seems happy and is out and about raising heck with the other birds.

Very good results
I put one in my parrotlet pair they kept laying on the bottom of the cage instead of nest box. The female parrotlet starting laying in the nest box after putting the fake egg in there.
