Home automation
I bought this specifically to have an automated timer to start charging our phones just a few hours before we wake up to avoid overcharging our phones and this one works perfectly! Follow the instructions carefully to set it up with the Smart Life app and you are good to go. The only downside was that one of the plugs produces a slight high-frequency noise while plugged in regardless of it being turned off or on. The plug is UAE spec.

Perfect for device automation.
Product meets the description. I am using this on a daily basis, works fine. Wifi configuring is easy except for the power button location.Power button is located on the left side and this becomes a problem if you use it on an extension strip as power button could get pressed by the plug on the adjacent socket. Other than that no other negatives.Recommended product.

(updated) it works well. did not have any issues in the last month
Happy with the device, works as expected. I am here to rewrite my previous comment - for transparency, i leave it there for all to see. works well with Alexa.. i use it multiple times a day, very happy and would recommend it.previous commnent:The smart plug works fine with the smart life app, however integration with Alexa doesnt work reliably, nor the siri integration. While these are things that can be updated with a software update, for now my rating is 2 stars..

Great product quality; absolutely worth the price.
Absolutely loved it and definitely worth the price to turn an ordinary appliance into a smart device. Do make sure your router can be configured to 2.4Ghz wifi as this is required during product setup. Setup does require a little technical know-how but follow the steps in the sheet and you should be good to go. I'm using it for a few lamps around the house and controlling them with Google Home Assistant.Beware : It does emit a mild clicking sound when turned off and on but nothing that would drive you nuts.

Works as Advertised
It's a good starting point for DIY Smart devices. My only issue right now is the SmartLife app. When I registered with the app, it asked for an email address. But when you are connecting it with the Google Home app, it asks you to log in with a mobile number. I haven't had the chance to look into this further, but as for the smart plug, it works.

Easy to setup and works with google home
Easy to setup, however the AP mode doesnt have much information in the manual. Also one point to note is that your home wifi requires 2.5Ghz band else wont be able to setup the devices.

Awesome
they work great and you can still add commands to Siri so exactly what I was looking for. They don't integrate with Apple HomeKit, but for me, as long as I can also command with Siri and do some automation it's what I was wanting and works great.

Easy to setup and works with Google Home
Works perfectly fine as described. Easy to setup. Works with Google Home, Alexa, and IFTTT.Timer and Countdown functions are pretty useful. I use the countdown function to avoid overcharging on my phone. I simply plug in the phone overnight for charging and set the countdown to switch off the plug after a certain time, depending on the battery levels.

Quick to install, easy to use
I got this smart plug to use around the house for different purposes, e.g. to control remote camera, restart the router etc. The delivery was prompt, it arrived in a compact packaging. Instructions are easy to follow: you just need to download the Smart Life app (if you use an iOS device), connect the smart plug to power socket close to the router so that you have the best signal, and follow the steps with in the app. I don’t have Alexa or Google, so cannot opine on the ease of integration with those devices, however it is very easy to use via the app. Most importantly it does not need a hub so connects directly to your router which I think is a big bonus!

Very good once connected
TL;DR: A slight faff up set up and very configurable once activated.I bought a double pack of these plugs to replace some of those old dial based plug timers. I was hoping to set to my SAD lamp, and if that worked, use the second for managing the Christmas tree lights.I found the setup quite frustrating until I switched the plug into AP Mode, and then setting them up was quite straightforward.I don't have any Google Home or Amazon Alexa systems, so I just the the Smart life app on my Android phone. The app works well and walks you through setting up various on/off timers, conditions (switch on at sunset), etc.Like a lot of WiFi smarthome services, these plugs need 2.4Ghz, so if you've a very modern router, you may need to faff with the settings s little.

Good product
Having products previously that use the smart life app I was pretty confident in this. I have an extension lead running out to my garage over head. I thought I would use this to put at the start so I can switch off the lead when not in use so some scrote dont pull on it and shock thereselfs though it is over 3m high you never know. The product works perfectly the only reason I give it a 4 is I have placed it in a reasonably modern single socket and it hits the switch so you can't push all the way in and have it switched. Not too much of an issue as I plan to change it to a double socket .

Worked as described and cheaper than competitors
Used to control my tropical aquarium lights, perfect! I set it on a timer so my aquarium would have 9 hours of light (planted) I could then control it via the app wherever I was which I did use from time to time. Occasionally I wanted to give my fishies a shorter day (algae prevention) so I could just click it on the app... Perfect. Useful I'm sure if going on holiday to plug a lamp in, so you could turn the lamp on and off to make people think you're home and not have a normal 'timed' routine which thieves recognise.I wish they did a higher amped version.

Good value for money, especially if you're a tinkerer
This is great value for money, but you might need to commit to the entire Moko / Tuya smart life ecosystem to get the best out of it.While it's probably possible to get it to work with Smartthings, Alexa etc. it's not an easy thing to accomplish.However... if you're a tinkerer, then this is a fantastic buy. Tuya APIs and SDKs are available that allow you to write your own controllers for it (and other Moko/Tuya devices), and it's 1/3 the price of more mainstream names.
