Cat Days (Penguin Young Readers, Level 1) Paperback – Illustrated, October 25, 2012

I liked it for the very reason it , I am sure would be a very nice illustrated informative book for those very young who may not know about the cats habits,abilities and mannerisms and how some cats can be very friendly and affectionate to humans and then some are not so friendly but aloof? I chose thisrating of five stars for the illustrations, short sentences and very much information about cats that very young children would not have any ides but all thesethings that the author has pointed out in her pictures and information . I recommend this book to ver young children who need to know more about the creatures that us older ones already and in the know as well as for children (very young ) ones who have been found that are crazy about animals , andespecially cats and kittens. My nephew is staying the weekend at my house and his father called and told me that he was trying to get him to read a book every day but forgot to pack him one. I found this book and downloaded it. I was super happy it was free because my nephew doesn't live with me so I wouldn't want to spend money on a book I'm going to delete as soon as he leaves.He did great reading the book and it was short enough that he didn't get bored halfway through and long enough that he still got to read a variety of sentences. The pictures were cute and the it was a cute concept but wasn't gender specific so I didn't have to spend time looking up a "boy" book. Thanks a ton!

Cat Days is a great book for early readers. This book was mostly decodable words for a beginning reader. It was nice to not have too many overly challenging words that you find in some level 1 books.

'Cat Days' reads like the readers that I had in first grade back in the 1950s. As a child I didn't find them very interesting and his one is much better than the old ones I had back in the day. The subject of a cat is more interesting too. The illustrations are cute and appealing. The repetition of wording is good for young children and easy for them to use to start recognizing sight words.

My 4 year old loves this book. She is newly reading and this is a perfect first book as the sentences are simple and clear. This was the first book she ever read all the way through and she was overjoyed by the experience.

I absolutely love this book! My daughters teacher give her students books to take home to read and cat days was one of them. She reads the book very well by herself. It was time to return the books however I felt bad because I knew that she loves cat days so i had to purchase it. It’s coming today, thanks to amazon prime. Btw she’s reading at 4 years old
