DUNLOP Phosphor Bronze 16-56 Resonator Strings (38347165601)

I've never actually bought a set of strings that were purpose-built for Dobro/Slide Guitar- and these Dunlops are just noticeably so much better than anything I've used in the past.You can feel the difference in the rigidity, heaviness, and thickness of the strings as soon as you open up the packet. Stringing them is a bit more of a bear than ordinary strings due in part to that inflexibility but nothing outrageous or that would deter me from buying these again.The sound is noticeably so much better with these- the projection beats anything I've used in the past by a large margin. The feel as you're using a bar slide on these strings is also night and day between other strings, there's the right feeling of resistance as you apply pressure as you do for bend effects, etc.Can't speak to longevity yet as they've only been on my guitar for a couple of days, but I am pretty sold that these will by my go-to strings for acoustic slide from now on.

Great strings

I've been using these strings for several years and have always been pleased with their performance. I particularly like the fact that they are packaged such that air and humidity doesn't have the opportunity to begin the oxidation process.

Loud strings for the swampdog

They're Dunlops......These are heavy gauge strings for any 6 string guitar with a square neck as they WILL bend the necks of regular half round design. In my experience, the truss rod alone can not straighten the neck with these installed. You might press the neck back arched and tighten the truss rod, then install the strings, but even that didn't work for me. They went on my square neck resonator perfectly.

Good quality, strong strings, better sound, so the price.

The first and fourth string broke on my resonator guitar after 5mins of tuning it in.
