These timers are about as straightforward to use as they could possibly be.The timer can be set to go on and off ten times in a one week period. It doesn't know the actual date but you tell it what day of the week it is so you can have a timer come on at say 2300 on Monday and off at 0100 on Tuesday - pay attention to this when setting it up...You can cycle through permanently on, permanently off and timer mode by pressing one button. I'm using mine for christmas lights so no need for ten timers, or the random mode that's also included.Instead of a coin cell, they have a rechargeable backup battery that stories the settings while the timer is plugged out. There's no backlight on the (very readable) LCD display but there is a bright blue LED that comes on when power is on. There is an audible relay click when switching on and off. Timekeeping accuracy claimed is one minute per month maximum drift, which is the only aspect I'm not convinced by. One of mine has drifted a couple of minutes in a week so keep an eye on that if it matters to you.

First of all, I always worry about leaving my mobile phone on the charger more than it requires especially while I am sleepingbecause this affects the battery of the mobile.This timer helps me a lot to overcome this problem.this timer has three modes:1-the on mode: this makes the plug on like any normal electrical plug.2- the off mode: this power off the electricity3- the auto mode (timer): this helps you to on/off the electricity based on your time needed.The timer mode has 10 on times and 10 off timers. Simply if I want to power on the device at 10 Am and power it off at 11 Am automatically, all I have to do is to set the on the timer at 10 AM and set the off timer at 11 AM.I have 20 time slots to overlap between them. I made the best use of them for the room heater by making it on and off every 1 hour.Really, it is amazing. It seems quite complex at the beginning, but the user manual made it easy.Also, it has an adjustable clock that can be easy to set.I recommend this timer plug. It worth its money.

Just an excellent products

I purchased three of these smart switches. Its like someone doing your stuff for you on your behalf :)Use them for the Aviary lights. They light up, On time and lights out, just right...My Birds are used to their routine now and there is no room for mistake! so you do not need to keep making sure, if you have done the thing that you were supposed to.Very easy to program and screen is big enough so you can see the digits without problem. Very happy with them

I wanted simple timers to turn lights on and off in the evening. I wanted digital to replace the mechanical timers that were becoming increasingly noisy (making audible ticking sounds). These digital timers were so easy to set up and are completely silent. Worth mention that the after sales support (an unsolicited e-mail with offer of help if needed) is also impressive. Will definitely return if and when I need more in the future.

This is a very nice timer; easy to read and very easy to set, which some others are not! Apart from 3 on/off channels it has a count down and interval modes. I bought a pair of these to control Xmas lights, so I only wanted the on/off functions. The timer will not adopt different schedules on different days of the week, so if that's what you want, it's not for you. Great for my application though!

Use it to time lights for indoor plants. I have it switch on every morning and switch off at night everyday automatically. Easy to set up once and then it work consistently and continuously.
