Good Design, Just Not Long Enough for Me
I'm still trying to find the right knee pillow to help me deal with some IT band and hip issues that turn my leg to fire overnight. My PT recommended I use a pillow between my knees, and after trying every thickness/shape/resistance level of every pillow in my house I turned to Amazon to help me out. I thought this pillow would be the answer, since it had gotten so many good reviews, but it really didn't work that well for me. It did stay put during the night, but it was a bit too short to keep my upper leg in the position it needs to be to keep the stress off my hip - I just need a longer pillow and this one is about 3" too short. Unfortunately, I took too long to decide it wasn't for me and the return window was closed (I felt a little funny returning such a personal item anyway). A lot of reviewers seem to have found this to be their magic bullet, but it just didn't work for me. I'm not discouraged. It takes time for all of us to find the thing that works for us. Good luck in your quest.**UPDATE**: Shortly after this review appeared, I received an email that was so responsive and supportive that I actually read it like three times. When a manufacturer follows up with such sincerity, then I feel an expansion of a review that was not 4 or 5 stars is in order. I want to make it clear that although the pillow is not right for me, it is extremely well-made and sold at a fair price. I can see why there are so many positive reviews. I have used it many times (still trying to make it work, because I do like it very much) and the foam is still sturdy. The cover (removes for washing) is comfortably soft, and if there was a little pocket for the zipper pull, it would be absolutely perfect. I do wish it worked for me but it just does not seem to fit my body the way it fits just about everyone else's. If it's ever available in a version 3" longer, I'll be the first customer and I'll buy two, one for home and one just to travel with. Between the quality of the item and the follow-up, I'm changing my review to 5 stars (the 5th being for the excellent customer service follow-up). Even though it didn't work for me, I totally believe the good reviews. Buy with confidence.

My hip pain is gone! Overall decent product for the price.
Immediate improvement on my hip pain! My hips started to hurt during the beginning of my pregnancy and it would get so bad at night when i laid down, eventually waking me up several times a night. I tried a maternity pillow and hated it. I tried a regular pillow between my legs which helped a little but it would migrate to somewhere else in the bed throughout the night which made it pretty useless. This pillow was a game changer! The pain faded more each night and within a week I felt significantly better! It's been a few months now and i can't remember the last time my hips hurt. It's super comfy and it almost always stays in place, even when i flip on my other side. The memory foam isn't exactly tempurpedic quality but it's not bad. The pillow case does get pilled like other reviewers mentioned but i don't really care because it just goes under the blankets anyway, it's not like it's for decoration. It has gotten a little worn in and feels like it compresses a bit more but it's still doing it's job and keeping me pain free.

It looks unworkable, but it works beautifully
I'm a long-time sciatica sufferer who bought this foam pad to relieve my spine of pressure in the lumbar region when in bed trying to sleep. I'm a side sleeper, so imagine that position and having a weak back. There is a downward tendency in the lumbar (lower back) region to sag downwards toward the floor. This puts pressure on the spine. If like me you have sciatica, which is abrasion of the sciatic nerve root in the spinal column, that downward pressure will be twice or three times as bad.All you need to do to use this pad is place it between your knees foam pad between your knees just as you turn out the lights. You will instantly feel the reduction of downward pressure on your spine. And in a very short time you will learn how to move the pad up or down between your legs as required to get the optimal position. I'm an average sized middle-aged guy and the pad fits me fine. Its sculpted form should make it useful to people of all shapes and sizes. But back to my back problems: Three weeks ago I finally gave in to the sciaticas and had spine surgery -- a double fusion L4 to S1. This major surgery was performed by a top orthopedic surgeon and early results are positive. My sciatica was cured INSTANTLY and within three days I was walking my dog outdoors. But for sleep I found I needed this pad more than ever. It will take my back several months to fully merge the grafted bone with my vertebrae. Sleep position is critically important at this early stage because unsupported, my already weakened spine (from the surgery) will resume its tendency to sag. So every night I thank my lucky stars for this foam pillow. It enables me to sleep in positions I otherwise could not use because of pain.As I said earlier, I'm an average size (5' 10", 175 lb.) American guy, middle-aged, and the foam fits me perfectly. Its design includes tapering and widening of the contact points so my guess is that people of all sizes and shapes could use it.An example: I like reading in bed and this foam pillow supplies the support I require to do that without pain.I have no association with the manufacturer of this product but its design looked promising and I was having trouble sleeping at night. This product reduced my night-time discomfort by, I would guess, 50 percent. And so I heartily recommend this product to people with lumbar problems.
