Perfect product at an exceptional price
When I first got this product I was a little skeptical. It does not feel very sturdy. It is made out of lightweight platic for the most part. In reality though this product is plenty sturdy enough. The plastic doesn not feel as though it will come apart easily, and has not even begun to up to this point (i have had it for a few months now). The ceramic tip on this torch is a very nice touch. It prevents the torch from getting excessively hot even when on full blast for a minute (I haven't needed to go longer than this yet). The flame on this torch can get fairly long, and extremely hot considering the size of it. The sparking mechanism has been compeletly reliable, and has not failed me yet. Every time I spark it, the torch ignites on the first go. Surprisngly this torch seems fairly efficient gas-wise as well. I have only filled it up once with my can of butane, and it has been good for months. I use it almost every day multiple times a day to light hookah coals, and it is still going strong. I haven't even needed to clean any coal dust out of it, which was a problem for every torch lighter I had used in the past. overall I am very pleased with the product. It is very cheap, and works very well.

This is truly a waste of money
First the item itself simply doesn't work. The lighter included does not reattach properly to allow proper gas flow. I have done so several times without success. I did get it to finally light once, but the on-off button failed to turn it off. I bought two and tried the other. It does work properly, but I suspect that once the lighter runs out of butane the same issues will occur. The instructions are absurd. They are obviously written by someone who not only doesn't use English as a primary language, but apparently only learned it about a week prior to writing the instructions. Additionally, the Amazon combination sale that is "suggested" (i.e. - 50 disposable lighters) is not the correct lighter for this torch (given the torch worked to begin with). Though I love the concept of this product, the execution is very poor. Oh well, at least I have 50 disposable lighters to use.

Feels cheap but works like a charm
I bought this so I can spark up on the beach when it is windy. No need to keep the joi---err--cigarette on your lips when you light up. In fact, keep this torch as far away from your face as possible lol. But, yeah, it works. And it would probably make a mean creme brulee, too. Mine is all black. That is cool with me. It is more stealth. Not that I need to be stealth. But... you know, I wear black shirts a lot. And a black torch goes well as an accessory, I guess. Imagine someone asks you for a lighter and you bust this bad boy out. Ha. They'd be, like, what are you, a pastry chef? And I'd be, like, no, I am a practical guy who likes to smoke on the beach when it's windy. No, I am not under the influence right now haha. Just trying to keep you review readers entertained. A thankless job, I suppose. Bottom line, you cannot go wrong with this little torch. Actually, it bigger than I thought it would be. This will not fit comfortably in your pocket. Make sure you buy some butane as well, as this does not come filled up like a lighter.

Cheap & Leaks Gas!
Thought I would give this item a try for the price...Big Mistake!I was planning to use this torch to light fireworks on the 4th of July, but that never happened. I filled up this torch with butane in the afternoon and everything seemed to be working fine except the shut-off valve. It doesn't close all the way and you can hear a slow stream of gas escaping from the top. I closed the valve all the way, but still hear the hissing sound of gas coming out. Within 30 minutes of sitting on the counter (not being used) all the Butane had escaped. This item is useless.

Butane Torch
This torch is an example of a cheaper imitation of a really good product. Its works fine for awhile, that starts to fault periodically. At first glance the torch looks good, It has a ulititarian look to it and works well. Then you start to notice problems, the primary one being that it will take you three or four strikes inorder to ignite the torch. This turns out to be very annoying and even frustrating.I am overall pleased with this product, but it did have some faults that were apparent from the start. I would recommend this product to someone who really does not want to spend too much money on a Butane torch but still requires a functional product.

works good
This a handy little tool for small soldering jobs. Came a few days earlier than promised. I will order another one soon, just to have a spare. It came ready to use out of the box. Like all small butane torches I have tried the fuel leaks out fairly quick. If you have a need for small torch this is well worth the price.

Get a different one!
First reason - SAFETY! When my third fill ran out on this torch, I think I closed the valve a little too tightly. Didn't seem tight at the time, and did it one handed (as I normally do). Filled tank, and when I went to use again the fuel knob seemed stripped. Tried to push down harder to engage the teeth (plastic on brass) and tightened the small crappy screw that is supposed to hold the plastic knob tight to the brass. After fiddling with it for a few minutes I was tempted to try to open with a pair of pliers - but did not. I got a little butane coming out. Thought it would be sufficient to light torch. It kind of was - but not like I expected. It lit into a foot wide yeallow fireball completely engulfing my hand and the freshly filled torch. Ran it outside quickly and threw a welcome mat on it to put out the fire. Scariest fire experience of my life!Even before that, this is a pice of crap that was a pain to use. You must turn the butane on with the cheap plastic knob, then ignite using the igniter button. To shut off you must close the valve all the way. Just a royal pain in the butt!Spend a few more bucks and get a decent one.

Meh..
It came with a broken base and the valve is really touchy. Price was the only thing saving this from a one-star rating.
