I have a Throughnite torch already (1100 lumens) and am very happy with its features and performance. This one however takes it to a whole nother level. It is compact enough to carry in your pocket, and extremely bright. And easy to recharge without needing a specialist battery charger, just plug it in with the USB cable supplied. (your average battery charger may not work here anyway due to the length/size of the battery) One thing you need to be aware of though: because it pumps out the light at such a volume the torch does tend to get hot rather quickly. So perhaps best used in short bursts rather than on long night hikes. Also, I cannot comment on the battery life just yet as I haven't used it for hours on end, but I suspect that it won't last as long as the 1100 lumen model.

I will start with the cons first as there is only a couple i can see with this torch. Firstly is that turbo mode only gives out its full brightness when the battery is mostly full. Probably around 80% charge or more. But even then it is still extremely bright. And secondly the manual doesn't tell you how to access turbo mode from the side button. To access turbo mode from the side button you need to double tap the side button. The build quality is very good aswel. The button on the side does not rattle around or feel loose and it has very nice feedback when pressed. The torch has a nice weight to it and feels comfortable to hold. And it is great value for money as it also comes with a 2 year free replacement warranty if any problems develop with normal use

Great flashlight. I am comparing it to an Olight S2R Baton II i also own. Build quaility is fine but like the turbo mode in the tail button. Turbo is very Bright. I personally think Olights Build quility is better but personally I dont feel they worth twice the price.Only negative is USB micro charging port.

I have a lot of torches with prices up to £120 all of them are ok, I came across a review on youtube of theThrunite BSS V4 Tactical it, looked fantastic but I could not believe it would be much good for the price.I WAS WRONG this torch is the best I have, tough waterproof, rechargeable and very powerful,6 lighting modes, Firefly and low are good for map reading or use indoors, medium is very bright and retains good battery life, high and turbo are very powerful and if like me you live in a country where carrying any typeof weapon for self defence is illegal the strobe option on this torch is very, very powerful and would certainly blind a would be attacker for a while.For under £60 this torch is a bargain, I would happily recommend this torch.

There are more expensive torches out there but there won’t be many brighter. Very Well made and comes with the usual spares you get from thrunite plus you get a screw on fed filter. My only dislike is that the on/off button is on the body and the tail cap button is the turbo mode button.

The beam on this light made me think wtf... its much more of a wide spread floodlight with a large ball in the middle, in videos it looks much more of a thrower than it is

Everyone knows that the momentum transported by photons is equivalent to their energy divided by the speed of light, which is ultimately just the reduction of the norm for the four-vector for energy to the special case where there is no rest mass.When I turned this torch on and shone it, experimentally, at my hand, my hand was blasted into orbit and I was hospitalised by the sheer force from attempting to deflect the sheer volume of moderately energetic photons that sprang forth from it. Never before has photon pressure moved me in such a wayI gave it to my father for Christmas, and he proclaimed himself to be Dead Chuffed. It's possible that even a wretch such as I will yet find salvation in the glorious, luminous heavens. But one thing I know for sure: heaven is less blindingly bright and illuminating than this torch. Five stars.

The quality of the buttons and threads are terrible, the casing is nice and weighty but the torch is not fit for rugged use as mine broke shortly after arrival
