For years living in Southern California near the beach we put up with the relentless/annoying presence of ants in the kitchen. My sister-in-law solved her troublesome ant problem (and assorted other minor invading creatures ... don't look too closely at your flour) by storing her dry goods (cereal, flour, sugar, etc.) in plastic containers strategically placed on top of her refrigerator. In our new home ants have continued to be a problem in the kitchen. So we decided to order this four pack of Food Storage Containers. They arrived safely. Like some reviewers have mentioned, the four containers were a bit difficult to pull apart, but we prevailed.Initially the lids were hard to get latched, but that has not continued to be a problem. Cereal had been a favorite menu item for the marauding armies of ants … so we put our cereal in the containers … and voilà! Nary an ant has since ventured into our cereal cabinet.The container size is perfect by holding a full box of cereal. We use the containers every day. They have remained air tight and keep the cereal fresh. It is a little hard to get larger flake cereal, such as Total, to pour out, but by gently shaking the container the cereal flow is fine.If we were to use the provided labels we would have lost the cereal's “use by” date. So instead, we removed the top flap off the cereal box, and display it in front of the container as shown in the pictures. This has worked well. We are very pleased with these containers. They are exactly what we need.The construction and quality seem excellent, and we anticipate that the containers will last for years to come.Yes, we would recommend these Food Storage Containers to friends and family … and we would purchase these containers again should the need arise. Two thumbs up.

The containers arrived as anticipated and have worked out very well. The fabrication is nice; they can hold even a giant-sized box of cereal. The tops fit nicely, and the top & lid seals are tight and will keep your food fresh. I am very pleased with them.

They are great. They each hold a box of cereal and seal up tight. The pour spout makes getting cereal out of the container easily with no mess.

Large packages of bulk cereal saves money but can get stale when left in those giant economy boxes or bags. These containers store the cereal safely and dispenses easily and take up about the same amount of space as the original box. What is not to like?Did not give five stars as the question of durability is open. They seal nice and tight but do rely on rubber gaskets that seem to easily fall out. I wonder if I will end up losing these when washing or, if they wear out, how hard will it be to find replacements (these are very large o-rings, basically). Otherwise, they seem great!

Containers are perfect size for cereal and rice. Easy to pour and cap is perfect.

The media could not be loaded. These are very sturdy and well made! The lip is not to hard to open and the rubber around the top makes it very sealed and keeping the cereal fresh! A family size box of cereal will fit in these. The labels they come with are cute and there is a chalk pen so you can change what’s in the container descriptions! Definitely a great product!

They are great my kids love them for their cereal. One container came broke I emailed the manufacturer an they were great to deal with. They are sending me a replacement an I can just toss the broken one.
